I've never put PPF or ceramic on a car, but seeing how my R1T has a giant square front end, I think I'm going to take the plunge. The plan is to have PPF on the front and partially up the hood, the mirrors, door sills and tailgate. Then the whole truck will get ceramic coated.

My question is if all ceramic coatings are generally the same? The shop wants to use 3M Ceramic Pro -- is that considered a decent product?

I have had my last 4 vehicles ceramic coated and can tell you with all the confidence in the world, the installer has a much bigger effect than the product. What I mean is, I’ve had the same guy put ceramic pro on my viper and then Kenzo on my rivian and the rivian seems to be noticeably better than the ceramic pro on my previous car.

However, a friend of mine had his Audi R8 done with kenzo by a different installer and it seems like absolute trash only 6 months later.
