Darn the timing won't work out for me oh wellThat's what they've always said. The section of the plant they are building for the production of the motors just got the last piece of structural steel installed last week. They are a long way away from being able to run production out of it.
If they are anything like Tesla, model year and calendar year are the same. I don't think Rivian is going to follow the traditional OEMs and come out with a new model year the year before. My guess is that if your Rivian is built 12/31/2022, it's a 2022 model year and if it's built 1/1/2023 it's a 2023 model year.Wonder if that means the actual year 2024, or model year 2024 vehicles? I doubt Rivian knows the answer to that any more than I do.
