Received the "Your configuration is ready to confirm." email last weekend, followed by "A Seamless Process to Purchase Your Rivian" the same day and "Prepare for the Digital Purchasing Process" with guide assignment 1 day later. Nothing since then. Truck configuration is Green on green with 21s. Hoping to get shop access or 8 steps soon!

Completed my 8 step process today. Delivery set for tomorrow. :like:
Our R1T arrived at Bellevue, WA service center Monday, 8/15 per our guide. Transport by BNSF auto train from Normal, through Portland and off loaded in Kent, WA per the Bellevue SC manager who oversees the PDI process. Scheduled delivery for Thursday, 8/18 offsite in Bellevue since in WA State they are not allowed to deliver to customers at the SC. The only bad news our guide informed us the powered tonneau cover is not working properly and it will have to be replaced in 6-8 weeks.

When was your order date and for the R1 shop does it show the Mid-Atlantic region?
Order date was March '21.

I assume my shop shows the Mid-Atlantic region, but I don't know how to tell or how far away people might be to see similar options.

One of the options I can see is a Green on Green with 21's. It's been there for a couple of days.

  • In June I was told Oct/Nov timeframe.
  • August 8th I got the "confirm your configuration" email.
  • August 10th I talked to my guide, who told me it was hard to say how long it would take to get the truck. ~"Still has to be manufactured, then shipped to Denver, then another inspection happens there." I also asked when I would get my wall charger, and guide said "Usually 5 days before the truck, sometimes up to 5 days later."
  • August 10th I confirmed my configuration.
  • August 12th the 8 steps opened.
  • August 13th - before I'd completed more than the first step - I got a call from the Denver service center. "Your truck is here and inspected and ready for delivery or pickup." o_O
    • Oh, but it's 2 weeks until we could deliver it, or 1 week until we have a time when you could come pick it up.
  • Scheduled pickup for Saturday, 8/20 (without having completed 8 steps) only 10 days after I confirmed my configuration.
  • I finished the 8 steps 8/16.
    • Contacted my guide about the wall charger on 8/16, and she said, "The teams are still hoping to ship out this Wall Charger, but it sounds like it may arrive shortly after you take delivery. Rest assured, you'll receive the tracking as soon as this ships, but I apologize it's taken a bit longer than anticipated."
I'm excited to be getting the truck, and excited to be getting it earlier than their (delayed) delivery estimate.

I'm annoyed that the guide had no information about where the truck was, how ready it was likely to be. That no one seems to have known, because whatever "team" is shipping out wall chargers didn't have one ready to ship before the truck was built and shipped and inspected.

My experience was exactly the opposite, at least regarding the Rivian Wall Charger. My guide said they would not ship it out until I had my truck. I explained that I would really want to have it installed prior to delivery due to lack of quick charging option near me if I needed them. The guide never really committed one way or another. Two days later I get the email from Rivian saying my wall charger had shipped and it showed up two days later as promised in the email. Go figure.

My charger was shipped UPS ground before I got my truck (yesterday 8/16). Arrived today 8/17. Now just have to wait for the electrician to come do the wire run and install next week.

I got a tracking number for my charger today, right after I finished the 8 steps. My electrician did most of the wiring today. He just needs the charger to wall mount it and hook it up.

Just got the email and confirmed my config. 8/21 Order, Oct/Nov delivery window. Probably about 75 miles from El Segundo SC.

Nope. We're the red-headed stepchild of Rivian customers.

Keep seeing all these ordered after mine get fulfilled and my status still reads this:

People keep predicting once the Dallas service center opens, the floodgates will open, but I have my doubts. The whole you have to completely pay for your vehicle and have it insured before it even enters the state probably has a lot to do with it. It's just amazing that Tesla built a gigafactory in Austin when they can't even legally sell a vehicle to a customer in Texas while the vehicle is in this state.

My fulfillmentSummaryStatus was null like 2 hours before I got my email. I thought that updated quite a bit before guide assigned and stuff.

I thought this last one was the fabled 8-step process opening up, but it turns out to just be a link to some instructions on what the steps include and what supporting documents I need to have prepared. I don't think I'd heard of others mentioning this sub-step (or maybe I just completely missed it).

Glad to see NOVA getting more R1T's. I have only seen 2 on the road.
