Explore Package R1T and R1S No Longer Available

Just noticed on the Rivian configurator that the “Explore” package is no longer listed as an option on the R1S. They also updated the photos of Ocean Coast to official remove the lighter wood and replace it with the same wood in BM.

I just noticed the same thing while checking out the updated Ocean Coast renders. Maybe Explore will return when demand subsides? Or maybe they will re-add it once they actually start building them. Odd to remove the option but not communicate anything to those that have it configured already.

I don't know. To me it just doesn’t have that same premium interior feel that the original OC did.

Fingers crossed you don’t get a Friday email telling you that you have to get an Adventure if you want a vehicle before 2024…or ever.

Agreed. They should at least reduce the cost premium for OC if they're swapping the wood...

Rivian likely agrees with you since it was their preferred, first option. I gather they just couldn't get the light wood right?

Actually makes me happy that I "settled" for FE instead of holding out. As shown here, I don't really like the new OC as much as the old version. Too much contrast for my taste.

I would reach out to Customer Service and Ask for a "CS Lead" and remind them of your reservation date. Those are the people that can make something happen if they are going to match you with a truck or get you moved up in line for an Adventure trim.
