I received R1T over the weekend but it has a 59XX VIN which seemingly should have been built a while ago. I got my 8 steps notice on 8/2. How do I locate the build date?

It is on the sticker inside the drivers door jamb. It will have a month and year.

It's pretty cool to come back to this thread since I got mine and see how many more vehicles have been produced. Looks like ~2k per month since mine was manufactured. Solid numbers right on track for them to hit their stated targets/goals.

Also excited to see so many more new owners. I've been seeing them more often here in the Seattle area, both downtown and on the eastside. Every time two of us spot each other there's an awkward moment trying to figure out what the correct greeting gesture is. So far my default is a wave and a thumbs-up

10,8xx assigned a couple of days back (Blue, Dark AT) - excited its arriving via the train! However I originally had Ocean Coast and changed the interior to get the Truck quicker. FOMO but don't want to get back in line.

Just got an email with the 8-steps to complete the purchace. I completed 6 out of 8 steps. When I called to verify my insurance with RIVIAN, I was told that the truck with OC has been built, and is waiting delivery. Also that they will be contacting me about delivery (as soon as whenever?), and that should take care of steps 7 & 8. My assigned Vin is in the 11,300's.

Rivian seems to be coming on strong. Positive thoughts and all the best to all of you who've been waiting so long!!

It might not unlock. When I took delivery a month ago the service center texted me availability, I chose, and after that Step 8 went from locked to completed. Not sure when/if they will resume scheduling through the online portal.

I was told by Rivian that someone (my guide most likely) will call to schedule delivery and that step will be open to be read and agreed to and then close. The truck will then be delivered.

Same with my delivery in Las Vegas. No change on the 8th step. I just got a call from SC to schedule the delivery.
