Been lurking for a while but decided to check-in with my delivery tomorrow. Been bouncing back and forth....nervous and excited....wondering what the hell I was thinking, and can't wait to let her rip!

Cheers
Good luck - had mine for a day now and absolutely love it.

I still have a Nov-Dec delivery date. I call often asking for the R1 Shop access like people who preordered after me. Nada… :(

Have you had your first mile drive yet? That seemed to accelerate things for me.

I haven’t received anything from Rivian yet, hoping to very soon but I’m happy for everyone who has started the process or already received their truck. My Subaru check engine light came on recently, Subaru kinda fixed it but it also came back on momentarily along with other codes and alerts so I’m just playing a balancing act here until I get my truck, haha.

R1T adventure on order
Logged into Rivian.com today and have a guide assigned, through the graphql it says "Selected for fulfilment" very exciting. I am in the DFW area.

Was fortunate to take delivery today. I appreciate all the information in these forums and it really prepared me for delivery. One thing I was still surprised by was Rivian’s service and communication. After I was contacted by my Guide he was accessible and informative. My delivery scheduling was accommodating, after I scheduled I had to reschedule on a Saturday and they made it happen. My delivery specialist was in constant communication and safely/professionally delivered my R1T in a tight neighborhood. He was not only a pro but matched if not exceeded my excitement as well as accommodating the whole family and their friends that happened to be over. He was open, honest and genuinely excited to be a part of the process. A rare find these days and kudos to Rivian. Nathan at the MSP SC is a true Pro. My guide Justin has been extremely responsive and I’m thrilled to know he’s my guide for good. Congrats to Rivian for a job well done!

I’m an LE holder in DFW and still nothing. Looks like the Hawes facility is still behind, so I’m assuming that is the major holdup. Only a few trucks at the location but looked like employee cars.

Same for me today seeing a guide assigned in my account. I’m in Orange County near the Costa Mesa, CA service center. I also show selected_for_fulfillment so hopefully this is all good news a truck in near.

Ive had 2, one official, one off the books. First one I was at the Santa Monica Hub and drooling over the R1T. Got talking with a couple of the folks there, they were very empty - maybe one other non-Rivian employee besides myself. He offered to let me drive it since they had no more first mile drives left for the day. Obviously I jumped on it.

Next I got the invite on Rivian's website, scheduled it with the Santa Ana(?) service center. Great looking place by the way. Again great drive.

Since then nothing. Rivian confirms I'm still on Nov-Dec timeframe. I asked why there were some that ordered this year, and already received a truck. What do I need to do, what configuration should I have?? They just apologized, claimed ignorance, and said do not change config, it may/will delay you.

Just got a shipment notification for my wall charger. The car must be close!

Anyone install one of these yet? I'm assuming 6/3 wire will work? I'll be running it 70 feet from the breaker box to the garage. Lucky for me, my dad does HVAC and is going to assist at the box
I installed mine. 6-3 is fine. That is what I have on my set-up. Remember to set your pins to the amperage you want. You will have to throttle using your truck at this time. I currently have a 60 amp breaker so I can get 48amp max if I want, but most of the time use like 18-24amp to charge. I pulled the chargepoint and put on the Rivian. There seem to be pros and Cons to each.

Usually 6-3 is Romex, if it is then the max rating is 55 amps so the most you can draw is 44 amps. Since the Rivian charger does not have a 44 amp setting you should be pulling 40 amps.

In order to pull the 48 amp you need a 6 gauge wire with a 75 or 90 degree Celsius rating in conduit. Those will have a 65 and 75 amp rating.

WEll man... I did pull and put in conduit, and I believe it is rated that way. I am not too familiar with the terminology though. But I have heard what you are saying. I also only have like a 24 inch run. So not too far either way.
