I’m now waiting for delivery, have my vin, etc. Texting my guide has been a quick and easy way to communicate. So far, the steps have been easy and my guide responds within 10 minutes or so. If everything continues this smoothly, I will not be able to stop smiling while driving down the road.

I’ve been watching the vin numbers and they have jumped by 1K since my vin number was assigned on Tuesday.

Is it me or does it seem like folks are now taking delivery a year after they initially pre-ordered? I know some earlier orders aren’t completed, but many still have constraints on their orders.

• June got Nov-Dec delivery window (I'm in VA near DC)
• Aug 10 - filled out the tax rebate commitment form
• Aug 11 - email to confirm delivery address
• Aug 12/13 - access to Rivian Shop
• Aug 16 - call (scheduled by me) with my guide; confirmed my configuration during the call
• Aug 16 - signed preliminary buyer's agreement
• Aug 17 - email to "Prepare for Digital Purchasing Process"

I thought this last one was the fabled 8-step process opening up, but it turns out to just be a link to some instructions on what the steps include and what supporting documents I need to have prepared. I don't think I'd heard of others mentioning this sub-step (or maybe I just completely missed it).

I decided to change from FE to OC interior after seeing the videos with the wood change and reading some posts about it being easier to keep clean than one ,Ishtar expect. Guess we’ll see what that does to my timeline…

I've noticed the same trend. I pre-ordered 9/21 and should take delivery in 2-3 weeks, which will be nearly one year from start to finish. Transport seems to be the issue, which probably means it is coming via train. Surprisingly, my VIN ends in 6XXX.

BTW, I have decided to name my R1T "Waldo", as I have no idea where it is at the moment.

What I do have is a sweet Rivian Wall Charger, all installed and ready to rock 48A.

• June got Oct-Nov delivery window (I'm in in Panhandle FL, but set delivery to Orlando)
• Jul 20 - Removed Underbody armor and 20in black wheels from configuration
• Aug 2 - Prepare for the digital purchase process
• Aug 2 - 8 Steps
• Aug 3 - Trade valuation received (had to be completed manually)
• Aug 4 - Purchase agreement completed, guide received.
• Aug 10 - Confirmed delivery (scheduled for 8/18)
• Aug 18 - R1T received
• Aug 18 - Dropped R1T for ceramic Tint and PPF
• Aug 23- Still waiting for PPF to finish curing so I can wash, prep remainder of vehicle and ceramic coat.
• Aug 25 - Prep and Ceramic coat layer one
• Aug 26 - Ceramic coat layer 2
• Aug 30 - I will be comfortable enough with the curing of everything to finally drive it.

Note... A great many of things happened in between all of these things, but this is the most basic summary I could complete that would maybe be helpful to somebody (at least until 8/18).

Well I got the call from KC today to tell me that my truck would be ready for delivery next Wednesday by flat bed to my house OR this Thursday if I wanted to pick it up at the SC.

The calls will be going to voicemail this Thursday as I will be “out of the office”. I will not be sleeping much. Gotta pick that first song to play!

After test driving, I recently converted my R1S to an R1T. I never got a delivery window. Anyone else order in Jan 2022 have a delivery est? Also, anyone take delivery in MT?

Just got a shipment notification for my wall charger. The car must be close!

Anyone install one of these yet? I'm assuming 6/3 wire will work? I'll be running it 70 feet from the breaker box to the garage. Lucky for me, my dad does HVAC and is going to assist at the box

Mine getting installed soon. 6AWG needed for max current (48A) tied to 60 Amp breaker. Copper wire required per wall charger manual.

If you want to get the full 48 amp charging you will need 6awg thhn in conduit, if you go 6/3 romex it is rated at 55 amps so will only get 40 amp as the Rivian charger cannot be set to 44 amps.
