I'm hopeful that they move to other LE R1S builds (without the underbody shield) next and don't go into Adventure packages with underbody shield.....

Yeah, that would annoy me if they do adventure underbody shields. At that point, just tell us and see who is willing to add it . . . . May 2019 order here (w/o underbody)

Please update us on the trade in value you get for your m3. Curious if prices are staying high on used teslas. Considering trading in as well but I love the car so it’s a tough decision.

Circling back to this, they needed more info and finally got the quote, which was disappointing. Went to Vroom for a second opinion and they quoted me $8k more that what Rivian did, so I’m going that route.

Next, insurance. I’m slower getting all this done than others here

Do we have any idea why your VIN (as well as other 'early' but still August builds) are so low? Trucks around this time are well into the thousands. . . .

I didn't order underbody shield and a VIN (06xx) was assigned on 8/28. My guide told me delivery is still up to 3 weeks away as my R1S needs to be shipped and inspected. No rush to complete the 8 steps as of yet.

Complete different first 3 letters because different frame, 7FC for trucks and Amazon Vans, 7PD for R1S

Update #2. Spoke to my guide Erik this morning. My R1S is on the lot in Normal awaiting shipment to Venice Service Ctr. My question, does anyone on the forum have any idea how long it is taking to leave Normal and cross the country via rail? Just saw a You tube of the Denver service center and. apparently they have over 45 R1T/S models at the service center. Does anyone know how long it takes for the service center to process deliveries? thx
