Just trade later if necessaryI'd love to wait for the EV9 but I'm too emotionally invested in Rivian now and there is no turning back. ?

Definitely an option. I'm going to get the R1S before we even see the first EV9 delivery.Just trade later if necessary
I think there is a ton of momentum on the production side and my guess is that some folks who are expecting delivery next year may be pleasantly surprised. That being said the next bottleneck might be logistics if there is a major railroad strike.CS told me today on chat that deliveries have begun for the R1S with Adventure Package. I did not expect that answer, and I'm very skeptical. Has anyone seen evidence of an R1S Adventure delivery?
Other tidbits: another vote for delivery windows by end of summer. And no date yet for startup of the R1S shop.

My initial reaction is that we would have heard in this forum that a non-LE R1S is about to get delivered...then again maybe it's only a matter of time.CS told me today on chat that deliveries have begun for the R1S with Adventure Package. Yup. With no word at all about where other SCs might even be an of course zero communication from Rivian, I think they'll plow through the BC orders first, then Calgary and Edmonton. My guess is a GTA SC would be the second SC they build, but who knows?!?At least you are getting a service center built in BC. There is no word yet for the rest of the country. My guess is that you will get delivery much earlier than the rest of Canada.
It will be interesting to see what their strategy is for Canada. I don't think they will have a rapid build of service centers like they did in the states. It doesn't make sense to have a bunch a buildings that you have to staff and maintain when you can't deliver enough vehicles to keep them busy. Will they roll out from west to east or build SC's based on market size. Personally I would be happy with a 2024 delivery.Yup. There's just SO MUCH opportunity in the GTA. Something like what 1/5 or 1/6 of Canada's population lives in the GTA? Not opening one in the GTA right off the bat would be a mistake imo. With all the other manufacturers around the corner launching competitors to the R1T/S it might be lots of lost opportunity. I've always said, after BC, I see them going with GTA, Alberta and Montreal - we may see a pause after that for a bit.It will be interesting to see what their strategy is for Canada. Greater Toronto Area. It includes all the suburbs around Toronto.Ignorant American question: GTA?
I agree completely. The original planned service center map only showed one service center between Ontario and Quebec and it wasn't completely clear which side of the border it was on. It would be hard and expensive to service the GTA from there. There's just SO MUCH opportunity in the GTA. Something like what 1/5 or 1/6 of Canada's population lives in the GTA? Oh interesting, I never noticed that on the map. I guess maybe that's Cornwall? (Such a random place to have an SC, though maybe I just don't see it but also I can't spot the Montreal one. Maybe the one near the border is the West Island in Montreal). That said - as a Rivian investor, I'd want them to get that GTA SC setup asap....as a pre-order holder who now lives in the GTA my order is slated for the end of 2023...so I'm sure there will be one by then or 2024.I agree completely. It looks like Vancouver, Calgary, and close to Montreal.
