R1S Owners: Check your air compressor hose

So a few folks over on discord have been reporting the air hose does not connect to the air socket because it's not pertruding far out enough.

I checked low and behold it doesn't snap on. Will put in a ticket, but PSA check yours.

Same issue, thought I was missing something for a second. Meant to try my ARB hose to see if it was hose or compressor issue.

i’ll also add that the whole housing feels flimsy and cheap.

This picture makes me ask so many questions:
- Why does the fitting look like 20 year old scrap yard salvage?
- Is the fitting/compressor not mounted correctly?
- Is the fitting tube bent causing the misalignment?
- Is the panel not mounted correctly?
- Who the hell designed this and what the hell were they thinking?

Seriously, this looks like a weekend garage retrofit.

Certainly looks like a design failure. Doesn't look like there is enough room for the sliding cover if the outlet is mounted far enough out to get the female end on it.

I'll have to check mine but I am afraid I won't be able to get the hose back into the bag it comes in.

Male air chuck connector is not in center of hole and blocks locking collar on the female connector..... nothing a sharp utility knife won't fix in under 30 seconds.

This is a very real concern - it is a very tight fit and does not go back into the beautiful bag easily.
FWIW - my hose connects and the compressor works.

I am really confused... Did they change the air compressor housing and location? Mine is in the bed and had a flap that flips up. This looks entirely different and is in a carpeted location???

As the thread title states, this is in the R1S, not the R1T. It's a sliding cover in the back of the S.

Thats exactly what I was thinking Just make the collar in the panel a bit larger around the air chuck connector.
