As the thread title states, this is in the R1S, not the R1T. It's a sliding cover in the back of the S.
I wonder why they couldn't use the cover from the R1T. There must be a good reason and maybe this is something Munroe and Associates can work out for Rivian to reduce costs while hopefully eliminating this assembly issue.

Male air chuck connector is not in center of hole and blocks locking collar on the female connector..... nothing a sharp utility knife won't fix in under 30 seconds.

The R1T panel is bigger because it also has the Gear Guard cables that plug in. There's not enough room to fit the same panel in the R1S even if they just blanked off the cable plugs.

So a few folks over on discord have been reporting the air hose does not connect to the air socket because it's not pertruding far out enough.

I checked low and behold it doesn't snap on. Will put in a ticket, but PSA check yours.

verified this is an issue with my R1S as well. I managed to get the hose to connect by pushing the plastic panel back with my finger and jamming the hose on and got a solid connection.

That makes sense. Thank you!

How about just bending that bracket then?
I would just make the hole in the plastic larger, you only see it if the sliding door is open.

I really would expect it to be done correctly from the factory but all options are welcome. I only have air to work on at the moment.
