I asked the live chat guy and he had no idea. Rivian is fully refundable, the U.S and the rest of the world are fully refundable. Why is Polestar Canada saying only partially refundable? Doesn't make sense. What part isn't refundable? You have to tie up 25% less of your money on the reservation
I think it's similar to what BMW and Audi are doing.I asked the live chat guy and he had no idea. Rivian is fully refundable, the U.S and the rest of the world are fully refundable. Why is Polestar Canada saying only partially refundable? Doesn't make sense.
Yeah, the CAD website is not showing the price/reservation right now.You can get a base LR with pilot and plus for under $100K. Also, their website has crashed and unable to load the configurator due to demand.
Heck I ordered an iX and didn't even put a deposit down. It showed up, but I had recently gotten my R1T, so I passed on the iX.I think it's similar to what BMW and Audi are doing.
The deposit is fully refundable until you lock up the configuration/production, but once you lock up your configuration and it goes into production you either take delivery or lose the deposit. This is the case with my iX reservation
Audi will only refund the deposit if your vehicle gets sold after you decline to take delivery. I decided against putting a deposit for an eTron S because of this.
I mean its expensive, but you'll get waaaaay more luxury features in the Polestar. (air suspension, HUD, B&W stereo, soft close doors) etc...Wow, 30k over a Model Y performance. No thanks. I would have put a deposit down if it was 70-75k for a performance. Performance has sub 300 mile range. Sad.
