Got a message about my delivery being delayed to Jan to Dec 2024 for a California Bay Area R1S large pack adventure ordered in Oct 2021. Pretty disappointed not to get it next year but assume this is based on my pre order date since everything else is standard stuff?

Does anyone have ideas about what the "Processing estimate" message means?

They haven’t decided yet on your order, likely due to location and distance from a SC

Original was 1H 23. And I would think my spec is pretty standard. I am about a mile from the Dallas SC so immediate distance definitely isn’t a factor. It’s disappointing and I think this will push more cancellations that will curiously be picked up by lottery winners with post-increase reservation dates

Maybe the delay is a sign from above to stay the hell away from Rivian.......With all of the recent problems it is a real possibility that Rivian is heading for insolvency. May just be saving us from making a huge purchase that ends up being worthless a la Fisker Karma, or Saturn. going to keep my R1t and R1S pre-orders until the resale price falls below the purchase price (which if they keep this up won't be long). Thinking that at this point my day 1 cybertruck reservation will get delivered before my Rivian. With this type of customer sentiment I think if offered a decent alternative many reservation holders will start jumping ship. Such a shame. Great product, completely incompetent business plan.

I have a July 2021 deposit and my delivery estimate is January - December 2024. Rivian are a bunch of clowns. This truck is going to be outdated by then.

F&@$ed by rivian again. 03/2020 reservation. LE with no changes. Originally said June-july. Then Oct dec. Now Feb mar 23. I knew something was up when suddenly offered first mile drive a week ago. I felt like that was a bad sign that they weren’t hitting the date. Meanwhile see other R1S in Austin with later date get theirs. Makes no sense. Here comes the stock hit as well once the news gets out. Glad I have my bronco! But I tell you for sure I won’t give up my reservation. Not with pre pricing. I sure hope this doesn’t eff up my tax incentive as well. I signed binding agreement. Have to wonder if that helped them decide to push me to next year.

Im in Austin, signed the binding agreement, my date was pushed up not back. I cancelled my original order from 2019 because of a job loss, then reordered in 2021. No idea if that had anything to do with my new window. I too will keep the order regardless, since its the original pricing. At this point if the truck comes in the timeline they are promising I might keep and drive it. I really expected my date to be 2024.

Processing for me, sucks since I’ve seen a couple R1Ts in the area - I’m in Charlotte NC Which feels like a prime spot for an east coast service center.

In the mean time I have a unicorn in the Lightning Pro I’m driving.. just need to keep it under 200 Miles…

I guess I’ll never see mine. “Processing Estimate” is apparently what people in South Carolina are receiving. Disappointing.

I’m just on the South Carolina side of Charlotte and have the same estimate on our R1S delivery. Looking at all the other posts, I’m really curious how they’ll slot all of us “Processing” folks in with the other reservations. I was lucky enough to get our R1T delivered this summer, and I guess Rivian decided the costs of mobile service are too great to deliver here now.

Will we be pushed to the back of the line if/when a Service Center comes to Charlotte? Time will tell.
