2022.35.03 release notes say" "Driver+ Settings Are Now Persistent."...

Specifically:
Rivian R1T R1S Persistent Driver+ Settings in 2022.35.03, specifically Collision Avoidance? Screenshot 2022-11-07 at 11.00.48 AM

On my truck, if I turn off the Forward Collision Warning, it will ALWAYS turn itself back on for the next drive. Can a few of you check this in your trucks and see if this is always the case? (without going into a holy war of WHY I want to do this, lets just say I find it too sensitive)

If I turn this off, it always gets turned back on at the next drive.... I'd love it to be persistent! Not sure if they didn't make that setting persistent, only the "early" or "normal" setting, or if it's my truck in particular that isn't holding the persistence .

Yes, but is it actually working?? I have a current item open that has been escalated to Rivian engineering where my front collision avoidance isn't actually working even with the settings turned on. I got a call from them over the weekend asking me to help them find specific timestamps in the logs for situations where it didn't work.

Yes, it works.

Too well in fact... I find it goes off far too easily on my truck even on the less sensitive mode.

Your issue sounds more like a bug. FCW shouldn't reset between drives.

This update made it so your Driver+ distance setting doesn't reset between drives (which is awesome!) Always had to turn on Driver+ and scroll it back down from furthest to closest. In addition, it shouldn't reset all those other settings like FCW etc... between updates (that could be the bug being solved, because i've never had that setting reset in the 5 months i've had my car)

Maybe you're following too closely if it goes off constantly.

@momo3605,

Would you do me a favor and actually check if disabling the forward collision warning resets between drives on your truck? I've had it to Rivian and they first said they also thought it was a bug, but then returned it the same way essentially saying it's a 'feature' and it doesn't remember that setting... I only have on Rivian so it's kind of hard to prove or disprove this on my own...

Ah looks like I misunderstood you. I leave this feature ON and when I get back in the car, it’s always ON. I’ve never tried turning it off. It’s a good safety feature and not obtrusive to me in any way.

Nevertheless I will try turning it off and seeing if it stays persistent for you next time I get in the car

Thanks... I appreciate it!

I realize many don't understand why I would want to disable this by default, but lets just say I have a good use-case for it.

I'd also LOVE to be able to turn off automatic locking on drive-away! I've had many cars that have that feature, but never one that didn't offer a way to disable it.
