Rivian Owners - MBA Students Need Your Help

Good evening, my name is Matthew Wieland, and I am a MBA candidate at Saint Mary's College of California, I am currently working on a group project that revolves around Rivian for a marketing research class, and we were wondering if anyone in this forum has already either received thier vehicle or has one order would like to respond to our survey. It shouldn't take more than 5-10 minutes. We would greatly appreciate it to anyone who could help us out. Also, if you have any additional feedback that isn't discussed in the survey, please let us know, as we would greatly appreciate hearing about your ownership experience.

@Mattjw, as a polite suggestion to help further your survey, you may want to provide a bit more background in introducing yourself and the project, as well as perhaps be willing to share your survey with those who participated.

I did submit a response. There are other issues beyond the two you focused on in the survey, so you may want to add an open response question for other issues positive or otherwise.

Thanks for the suggestion, so I am currently an MBA candidate at Saint Mary's College, and this survey is for a marketing research class where we are trying to understand how actual Rivian owners feel about the brand and thier experience from order to delivery to using it daily. We are looking to use this information to create recommendations for Rivian on what they could be doing differently to increase thier brand equity among thier existing clientele. I hope that provides some further background of our goal for this project. Thank you.

I responded, there are a couple of questions asked based on owning a vehicle, they need an N/A response as it forces preorder holders that have not taken delivery to respond. This may impact the result accuracy.

The primary reason why I bought the truck wasn't listed in there. I added performance as the acceleration, versatility and towing capacity were big factors for me personally in buying my R1

Hi Mathew - I have also responded, and included (perhaps irritating) commentary on the survey design. I promise this comes from a place where I’m attempting to assist - primarily, because I have a reasonably large team of market researchers who do this on a regular basis and have a strong interest in 1) getting back quality data, and 2) ensuring the data is unbiased.

You guys did a good job on keeping bias to a minimum, but some of the questions are odd for any EV owner, and definitely need revising for auto enthusiasts (of which there are many in the Rivian owner world). Your results are going to be a little wonky as a result.

Many many years of clinical research here. But anonymous surveys are typically exempt, especially those not requiring disclosure of protected information such as health information. Though an initial review to obtain exempt status is required. Re-reading your post I guess that’s where you meant exceptions.
