Same. basically no info other than you’ll see something when I do. Don’t get me wrong they’re super nice. Just doesn’t share a lot of info like some other guides have given their order holders.^ I don't even get that answer, just that we're waiting without any idea of when. Could be later today, could be 2 months from now haha.
I have that same guide! No response via email either.I've sent 4 texts to my guide over the last ~10 days with zero response.
I must be one of the lucky ones. Kareem has been awesome. <1 hour to respond to all my emails (I'm trying to not email him all the time), and was especially helpful when my bank made me add my wife to the purchase agreement after I had already gone through the 8 steps- he had to reopen some stuff to make it happen and was awesome.I've sent 4 texts to my guide over the last ~10 days with zero response.
Did your 8th step ever move out of "preparing vehicle"? Trying to figure out what my experience might look like.11/11 - Lock
12/5 - 8 Steps
12/9 - Schedule pickup
well... picking it up next Friday! original window was Feb-Mar 2023
Merry Christmas to me!
This is exactly what I'm doing. My credit union said now that all the paperwork is done I can walk into a branch to get a cashier's check same day, and they don't recommend doing that before I have an estimated delivery. My guide and the rivian insurance folks said wait to transfer the insurance until I have a date to pick up. On another note- the rivian insurance folks were SUPER nice and helpful on the phone. This is a good example of why our guide said hold off on paying for the truck and doing insurance until we have a confirmed delivery date. I know that’s not possible for everyone, but I’ve heard a lot of these stories of people who handed over money and don’t have a vehicle.
My guide said they had switched back to truck delivery vs. rail. Now I'm not sure if that is the same for everyone, but that's what he told me.Is it normal for your guide to not know the method of transport for a vehicle that is "in transit?" My guide seems to never know anything about my vehicle...where it is, how it's coming, timeline, if there was any QC issues, etc. Did I get the only guide who is absolutely no help?
is your truck in normal headed to el segundo? wonder if we'll be on the same truck not week!My guide said they had switched back to truck delivery vs. rail. Now I'm not sure if that is the same for everyone, but that's what he told me.
Not sure where my truck is at. Guide told me it was in normal on 12/7/22. I will likely be going to costa mesa? At least I hope- its a good amount closer. My purchase agreement had venice on it which I found weird.is your truck in normal headed to el segundo? wonder if we'll be on the same truck not week!
i paid my down payment which wasn't too significant but kind of wish i waited. my usaa financing is a little annoying too, as they want rivian to fill out a request for funds form and rivian wants usaa to just submit the transfer... but there's no delivery date... as long as i get it before 1/22, which is when my financing needs to be completed by two lock in my rate. This is exactly what I'm doing.
