At the risk of stating the obvious... Rivian is probably just going to follow Tesla's roadmap. Tesla was never profitable when they only produced the Model S/X. Not until they went through "production hell" with the Model 3 did they finally turn a profit.

It seems reasonable that Rivian won't be profitable until their less expensive mass market R2 series. R1T/S exist to establish the brand identity and get Rivian a reputation for making excellent and desirable products. And they will face the same "production hell" with R2, but maybe with some lessons learned from Tesla, whatever those may be. Hopefully Rivian won't need to compromise too much for the sake of simplicity with lower price products.
Tesla has Carbon Offsets in its bag of tricks and it has nothing to do with their cars. https://carboncredits.com/tesla-regulatory-carbon-credit-sales-jumps-116/

So no convictions then? Thought so. I was under the impression people were innocent until PROVEN guilty by a jury of their peers in this country. I guess that only applies if you agree with their politics.

You’re right about the shame though, but wrong about the reason.
You are factually incorrect since a "jury of his peers" for a US president is not the same as it would be for any other citizen. That jury lies in the Congress, which tried and voted to impeach. As documented, adnausem:

"The 45th president of the United States, was impeached for the second time on January 13, 2021, one week before his term expired for inciting a resurrection. It was the fourth impeachment of a U.S. president, and the second for the 45th after his first impeachment in December 2019.[1][2] Ten Republican representatives voted for the second impeachment, the most pro-impeachment votes ever from a president's party".[3]

Was he convicted or no? An Impeachment is a trial, was he convicted? The thing is simply being put on trial doesn't confer guilt, for ANYONE. Was he convicted through the process laid out for him in the constitution? IF NOT, he is INNOCENT PERIOD.

First off-- they couldn't even spell Lightning right. Secondly, this point is unbelievably dumb. Rivian isn't trying to be the highest volume vehicle manufacturer in the country. They're not expecting the R1T to be the best selling truck. They're building an adventure vehicle for weekend warrior granola munchers, most of whom would never even consider buying an F150, and are cross shopping Rivians, Range Rovers, Tacomas/4runners, Subarus and G-Wagens. We're a weird group over here ?
This. Information they could have readily found in Rivian's prospectus. But that would have required a tiny bit of research or perhaps knowing something about the industry they are reporting about.

Any (purported) analyst that doesn't understand context.......

You are conflating two things. He was impeached by the house. That is an impeachment and it stands on its own. 10 members of his own party voted for that impeachment (unprecedented in history). The jury is still out on criminal charges now that he no longer has protections afforded to him by the executive branch. Meet me here in 6 months.

He was impeached, but he was NOT removed from office because he was not convicted of ANYTHING. An impeachment is a trial, they are hearings. After the hearings absolutely NOTHING happened.

Massive amounts of evidence was gathered during that impeachment that will be used in the upcoming criminal trials - far from nothing. Impeachment is a political exercise that is driven by partisan interests. Like I said, meet me here in 6 months.

Sure. I've only been hearing that the last 6 years, what's another 6 months?

We can debate the pros and cons of deplatforming a former president who attempted an overthrow of the government another day...
That’s about the most American thing you can do. Taking it back to the roots.

It is poetic irony that you chose to quote the french philosopher who championed the very separation of powers that underscores the foundation of the US constitution to support an individual that did everything in his power to circumvent that and act like a fascist dictator.

Bravo. I couldn't have written a better story line.

Pretty bold words for someone who struggles with the concept of innocent until proven guilty.

You seem to struggle with reality vs. fiction. That is something I hope that you eventually get clarity on.

Coming from someone holding on to baseless hope for the last 6 years that doesn't mean a whole lot.
