Wow. That was a long wait. But totally worth it.
The delivery and trade-in experience was so different than any other I have had. The paperwork part was only signing two documents: the title of my trade-in and the power of attorney for registration. It took a total of 2 minutes.
Then Kevin at the Bellevue SC walked us through the R1S, got our PAAK set up and we tested out a few connectivity features together. I have read somewhere in another thread that people were having trouble with Alexa. When we first tried placing a call using Alexa, she said she didn't have any numbers for my contacts. The solve was to go into the Amazon Alexa app on the phone and enable calling (and allow access to contacts). Alexa now works great for us. Another thing we discovered is that it's possible to connect another phone under your profile for bluetooth streaming (so audio content can come from a passengers phone without changing the driver profile to that person).

- There are some panel gap issues, but they are so minor I am not likely going to have them fixed. All other aspects of fit and finish were exceptional.
- No 12V in the frunk (VIN: 11**)
- No Snow Mode yet.
- The compressor can seem loud, but I think this is partly because the vehicle is so quiet otherwise.
- The driving experience is so amazing. You feel in complete control - handling is refined. Power is unworldly. I still need to get used to 1-pedal driving, but I love it. The R1S seems to have more aggressive regen at lower speeds. Just something I will need to develop muscle memory for.
- The PAAK seems to work very well now. The R1S unlocks and prepares as I approach (about 10 feet away) and locks when I leave the area (about 15 feet).
- No wristband at delivery (back ordered). Got 1 keyfob and 2 cards.
- Lots of very thoughtful design features: flashlight, camp speaker, storage areas, seat designs
- The entry/exit for the third row is very easy/convenient, though when you put the 2nd row back in place you have to recline it again (doesn't go back to original recline setting).
- The paint color is even better than I thought. There are hints of blue in it and just enough metallic flake to give it a pop without being overly sparkly.
- I love this thing! driving around all day with perma-grin and giggling like a school girl when I press the petal down. It's just fun to drive.
