It is the wayWe all signed up for an adventure vehicle that was portrayed with certain trim, behaviors and accessories. Those vehicles were then given to reviewers to provide feedback and build a fan base.
Yes the agreement says they can change the product. In essence you are not reserving a spec that rivian commits to build, or for that matter a place in line to receive it (or even the price of the vehicle). It feels more like you reserved an idea with no commitment to deliver on the original concept.
Moving the goalpost on vehicle spec and available accessories while not being transparent on rationale seems like a quick way to disenfranchise your loyal base.
