.... still waiting for my running board... end of December coming up quick. EV Timeline... lol
This is our team right now racing to get these built and delivered! We expect to start shipping by the end of Dec (and continuing into the new year until all b/o are shipped) - the holidays make for adding hurdles to this time race for sure (we overnighted some bolts in yesterday only for FedEx to decide the pending weather was a good excuse not to deliver as planned! So one of our engineers drove to the ATL FedEx distribution center late last night and demanded his way to getting them! he is awesome). Guys, we are committed to making outstanding products - we did make some tweaks to the brackets and refinements to the design - improvements in both cases. This cost us a little time, but we are sure customers will appreciate the wait, in trade for premium product! We are rushing, but never at the cost of quality. Also, those who pre-ordered earned free shipping intro pricing - you all are awesome!

take the time to get them right - I'm happy to wait a bit longer for a better end result.

What do you recommend for trimming the plastic panels around the brackets? Box cutter, tin snips, a small oscillating saw?…I’d like a clean, factory like cut.

Let me get some pictures of the covers and us cutting them for clearance. Will give you all the details to make it look super nice. We are similarly OCD on making it look perfect! We plan to send cutting templates that will make it easy and uniform.

Do you anticipate maybe making some panels to go along with them so we can keep oem to the side for later sales/etc?

How about at least one “teaser” photo that actually shows the mounting points and brackets?

Since the plates are just bolt on now, any chance there will be options for different styled plates in the future? Maybe one with more standard like running board ridges that run the length of the board. Or, flat solid ones without the million logos placed throughout?

Figuring the plates will be cut via a template, so might be nice to give buyers the options of which they prefer and likely wouldn't add much in the way of cost. Possibly save some in not having to stamp the logo holes?

Could even generate some additional revenue as some buyers may purchase a second set of plates, for aesthetics or if the plates get damaged, or maybe just change their mind.

While these are better than the earlier, taller pan heads, thought they were supposed to be countersunk flush? May be mistaken.

I suggested countersunk, flush mount fasteners, but the supplier never committed to doing so - he only stated the one’s pictured earlier were not the production versions.

FWIW, I actually prefer the raised bolt heads. They provide a bit of added grip when stepping up with wet shoes / boots.

EV1 just moved you to the front of the line!! :CWL: . As I and some others noted, prefer the welded look instead, but, I'm thinking they're small enough that from 4-5 feet back, won't be able to tell the difference. And if they are just bolt on, then possibly there will be additional options to suit each individual's personal tastes in the future.

I love the bolted design much more. Much cleaner design. Miles better than the welded version fwiw. These looks fantastic and keep with the original clearence and aero. I can see one additional bonus to aero in that in keeping the plastic shields on will help protect the frame and fasteners from salt/ice melt chemicals put down on roads.
