How warm does everyone’s heated seats get?

My R1T seats get hot and I usually have to turn them down to level 2 or 1.

Steering wheel heating is adequate (previous BMW was better) but has some cool spots around the wheel that don’t seem to get as hot.

I've got an R1T and Mach E here too. The Mach E seats and wheel get a lot hotter than my R1T; I leave them turned on way longer in the truck than I do in the Mach E.

Same combo here, and same experience. I typically switch the Mach-E seats to Auto after 10 minutes or so. The R1T seats can stay on high if it's very cold out (below 20F).

Exact same for me. Seats super hot, steering wheel meh.

It’s probably on par with my Audi, maybe a little less than the Audi but the cooled seats are far superior than any other car with cooled seats I’ve ever been in. With my climate it’s a trade off I’m more than willing to make.

I came from an Etron and these heated seats aren’t on par with that.

My S5 seats were noticeably warmer on the highest setting. I don't mind since it was uncomfortably hot at level 3 anyway. We'll see if my SO complains - she loved the seats at the highest setting, but she also showers in molten hot lava.

My R1T seats are way too hot after 5 minutes on high.

I put mine on high when preheating but have to kick it down to medium within a few minutes of getting in.

It depends on your comparison unless your seats are cold I doubt Rivian would say they are defective. Compared to the mach e and my old genesis they are not hot but are adequate. Compared to our Subaru outback they are warmer. They also automatically toggle off the warmest setting rather quickly imo.

How warm does everyone’s heated seats get? On max strength I’m not getting much heat whereas in wife’s Mach-E max strength is almost too hot.

Have you tried it without pants? I noticed it gets warmer without pants…

(The R1T is weaker than most cars I’ve owned, but it’s plenty warm enough for me)

I usually wear scrubs to work, which are pretty thin.

The R1T heated seats and steering wheel provide less heat than my 2019 Wrangler, with fabric seats. With my Wrangler I have to turn them off after a few minutes, because they can be uncomfortably warm. With the R1T I may forget the heaters are on, someone can argue their settings are more comfortable, but just take longer (they may be more energy efficient).

This mirrors my experience. The seats and steering wheel feel lukewarm compared to my 2020 Wrangler with leather seats. My only explanation is that Jeep seemingly designed the heating elements to keep you warm on a cold day with no top or doors. The Rivian seats and steering wheel never make you feel toasty like the Jeep.
