You missed the point. Why does one have to come/chase down that information on an INTERNET FORUM?!
Because you pre-ordered a pre-production with estimated timelines, not ordered something that’s stocked and ready to ship.

Same reason people had to wait years for their Rivians. It’s a brand new product in development. If they were sitting on the shelves at Walmart we probably wouldn’t be discussing it here.

Just ordered the sliders. Now I am wondering if I should cancel my pre-order of the magnetic pucks. Any update on when shipping will happen for a just placed order? Am I looking at 3 weeks or 12 weeks?

I agree. But again you guys miss the point. They only way to determine the status of your preorder is to chase the information down in an internet forum. What if you placed a preorder and was not part of this forum? You'd have no clue on the status, the design or any other thing related to the product. Doesn't matter to me, I'm just pointing out that the point he was trying to make (I think).

I did the same - ordered pucks and steps. The pucks came fairly quickly, probably a few days because I believe they were in stock.

I wouldn’t know about this preorder without have first visiting the forum. So, using deductive reasoning, I’d get information from the same place where I found the product.

I do see your point. I really do. But you are literally pointing out the differences between an ORDER and a PRE order. With almost all products a pre order means there will be less info up front and more waiting and you might eventually get a product that is slightly different than the one you originally ordered.

An order is something that is fully designed and developed and is likely already manufactured and will be shipped from existing stock.

I understand the frustrations trying to get certain questions answered, but again, these are STILL in development. Yes, they could do a better job attempting to answer many of these questions, but it is what it is. It’s a pre-order.

I think the percentage of times that I have pre-ordered something in a development state (that didn't show a production-ready product) arrive on time is pretty much zero. Par for the course.

We already know of a number of design changes that have been implemented, and one can assume that they are likely for justifiable reason. I'd rather them work out that before shipping to me, than keep "on time" and send me crap.

Ok, whatever. You're just itching to argue it seems.
Not really - you're very stuck on the fact that any item your order online should include regular updates delivered directly to you. Well, guess what, they have been, via this forum post.

While I understand that you'd appreciate direct communication from the vendor, potentially by means of an email carrying order status and updates, I strongly believe that doesn't apply to this case - an item that you knowingly ordered as a prototype, pre-production, with a tentative timeline.

If you truly needed an update on the item before coming to this thread, the Order Confirmation you received by email from EV Sportline's Shopify page clearly states at the top and bottom of the email: "If you have any questions, reply to this email or contact us at [email protected]

The old adage "A watched pre-order never ships" applies here... but I'm paraphrasing a bit...

Oh for f#cks sake! I'm not pointing out ANYTHING. I didn't make the post! I'm not frustrated with anything! You seem to want to argue with me about someone else's frustration post. I am not that person. You guys realize that right? I didn't make that post. I was simply saying that you all missed the point of the person's post. Part of it was his frustration OF HAVING TO COME HERE TO FIND INFO ON HIS ORDER. Again....I DID NOT MAKE THAT POST. I DID NOT QUESTION ANY OF THE THING YOU MENTION. fUCK! (sorry for the cap yelling).
