I saw that yesterday in my feed.
Even by lying press standards, this is horribly written. Like a Jr. high schooler wrote it.

What a freaking clown.
"Rivian management said it would produce 25,000 of its electric pickups last year. The final number was 24,337"
-Dear lord. 600 off as a startup during covid and the worse supply chain in decades...

"Rivian’s chief executive, among the worst in the car industry..."
- Wow, salty much? What's this guys problem with RJ?

"Frustrated customers may buy alternatives, like the widely well-regarded Ford F-150 Lightning."
- A Yahoo article says, " Ford will also likely have sold around 15K or so F-150 Lightning pickups in 2022."
Sounds like this guy failed 1st grade. 20k > 15k.

"Rivian still has an absurd market capitalization of $15.3 billion. Ford’s market cap is $47 billion, and it sold almost 4 million vehicles in 2021."
- Ah yes, a company that sells 3 models of vehicles vs a company that sells 20+ has less revenue.

I want to fight this moron.

I'm one of Rivians worst critics due to my own experiences with the vehicle, and the company. But, even I won't click on that link.

He describes himself as “an expert on corporate finance, the automotive industry, media companies and international finance.”

You guys are missing this key piece. He is about FINANCE... AKA, he trashes the stock, funds buy huge amounts at a low price, then wow it goes back up over the next quarter with good news. Millions in profit made.

All you have to do is realize that markets are VERY easily manipulated, and this article reads as nothing less than that. I'd bet you if you were able to see stock buyers, they will hit their target, buy in , and boom mission accomplished.

I would very much like to know the size of the author's short interest is in Rivian stock.
For a moment there I thought you were heading in another direction.

My goodness the fangs are out with the press.

Interesting quotes:

“…another sign Rivian will never be a competitor in the EV sector.”

“Rivian’s chief executive, among the worst in the car industry, said supply chain problems kept 700 from being completed.”

What an asshat. A ridiculously biased article which clearly has a personal or corporate agenda. My bullshit meter just exploded.

sounds like someone that want's the stock price to fall so him and his "friends" can buy up RIVN cheap and then post in 2 years "Rivian beat all odds and is on it's way to profitability" or something to that affect.

It's been awhile but people might of forgotten when F(ord) along with GM when they needed a bailout. Ford was at $1 before trading halted it. Ford learned the hard way to pivot and dug in their heels and recovered on it's own while GM took the money. Both will always have it's problems but I feel they learned their lesson; should the next recession hit, I think they'll be OK. RIVN will be fine if you're in for the long game. AMZN may of funded RIVN but if came to 'saving' the company, I hope AMZN will buy them and allow them to continue making vehicles. Then, in a pie-in-the-sky moment, Prime Members would get a discount!!!
