Rivian’s stock has also tumbled since its blockbuster initial public offering in November 2021, down roughly 79% through Monday’s close.

The executives who have left were some of Rivian’s longer-tenured employees. Among them is Randy Frank, vice president of body and interior engineering, and Steve Gawronski, the vice president in charge of parts purchasing. Both were gone around the beginning of this year.

Mr. Frank joined Rivian in 2019 from Ford Motor Co. Mr. Gawronski joined in 2018 from the autonomous vehicle startup Zoox.

Another early employee, Rivian’s head of strategy Patrick Hunt, left the company late last year. Mr. Hunt had joined Rivian in 2015.Rivian’s general counsel, Neil Sitron, departed in September after 4½ years with the company.

The Rivian spokeswoman said the moves were made to ensure the startup has the talent and staff it needs to ramp production. The company declined to comment on the individual circumstances of the departures.

Not posted: Amy Mast has also left (Communications).

The article makes it sound a bit more like they were let go?

I just wish there were some sort of penalty or repercussion for misleading or exaggerated headlines. The title makes it sound like a mass exodus but is actually talking about a year or more of time.

That same period of time all companies were having issues retaining people as the employee market was crazy and people were getting huge salary/benefit boosts by shopping their skill sets around.

I am getting more and more disappointed in WSJ who at one time did actual reporting. Seems like lately they are falling more into the clickbait arena.

Sure Sounds like they were “invited to seek excellence elsewhere” to me.

Amy’s Twitter still names her as comms director.

I gave up on the WSJ in the mid ‘90s after their ongoing reporting of a contract negation and mediation I was involved with was so egregiously inaccurate. Their “reporting” over the six weeks of mediation wasn’t even close to actual events or positions.

Go look at the makeup of their editorial board

May? Three of the people mentioned left in the last few weeks, so certainly post May (you are thinking of the new VP of manufacturing) and timely to report.

Not misleading four people left in the last four to six weeks. Fairly timely since Rivian didn’t say before hand (much like with the new VP of manufacturing eight months ago). So quite a few senior positions of people with auto experience hired in the past few years. It was cleanly reported without much of a slant in this article. Not much to object to really.

Was that further down in the article past the pay wall? The original text posted on this thread might not be all of it? I only see last september, 2 earlier this year, and maybe recently the communications person?
