I may be mistaken, but in Tony's defense in this case I don't think he explicitly said the updated delivery windows would be available on the 16th. I believe he said near the end of the month. Others extrapolated 16th when the deadline for confirming configurations was announced as the 15th.
This isn't in regards to the updated windows, they already let us know that those would come at the end of the month, and any changes in config needed to be made prior to today to be reflected.

This is in regards to Rivian Membership, and its a la carte plan, which was to be unveiled today apparently.

Support says no new information as of now.
They won't say anything until the email drops. If you don't receive an email today, tomorrow at 12:01am, fire up the Rivian and see what's behind a paywall.

They do occasionally give their support people a heads up before new things are released. I found out about the imminent drop of wheels into the gear shop a few days before it went live. Support person described it as an internal memo.

Ah, sorry, got this thread confused with the other.

Although, again, in fairness to Tony he said the change to the membership would go into effect today, not that there'd be more information available about the membership changes which went into effect today, lol.

I guess he does still have a few hours.

As a highly acclaimed visionary, I can see where this is going.

Imma gonna have to slap my phone to the dashboard, either in between the two massive hi-def screens, or with a dash/windshield/gimbal mount.

Function over Form. Farck.

Maybe they delayed extracting more money from customers and instead decided to focus on getting those functional tonneau covers out to all of us that paid for them in some cases over a year ago? Bwaahahahaaa!!!!!

Sometimes, I wonder why some of you even own Rivians.

You do realize nothing is happening today, right? The 1/16 date was just an administrative cutoff for when the Membership is no longer legally bundled (it never really mattered practically speaking either because it was free) and all the delivery paperwork changes. There is nothing requiring them to say upfront what you will be charged in the future when the trial expires (or even how long the trial is).

It could be 11 months before we hear anything more about the unbundled programs, because LTE is still included through the end of the year so they have until then to decide what to charge for it (and may as well wait until the last minute to have the best information at hand when they make that decision, doesn't benefit them to announce it sooner). It could be two years before they develop a feature worth charging for. They've already said what they need to on charging. We'll find out what it costs when they start charging when you go to a station to charge.

Doesn't mean they won't announce anything sooner, but it's not today or likely anytime in the immediate future.
