I can confidently say that it wouldn't really make sense to use this product with non-apple magsafe adapters... it's designed to VERY tightly fit them in so that there is no rattling, squeaking or movement of the parts. Can I ask - what would be the motivation for getting non-apple magsafe compatible chargers?

Esthetics. The JSAUX comes in black and I believe size wise they are compatible with apple MagSafe from other threads. While I’d prefer the reliability of Apple, I prefer the darker blend in appearance of the JSAUX.

Fair - though if you notice the AdentureMat includes stickers that help the plate blend in with the rest of the mat. Only the stainless ring is visible (similar to the dark magsafe chargers you linked). I dunno though - if they make those magsafe chargers to the exact same size as the apple ones, then I'd guess they might work?

The dark rings vs the lighter apple MagSafe rings are very different to my eyes in the black mountain interior. Your eyes get drawn to the apple charger rings and in such a nice interior I don’t want anyone’s eyes drawn to the charging mat. I’ve seen many pictures with both installed on various different mats, I don’t want to post someone else’s product on this page, but it is a notable difference.

Just wanna say thank you! I received my mat today and put it in right away.. fits great, looks amazing, and works really well. My one nit is that I like the rubber texture of the original mat… so I’d buy a second version of this in the future that’s not 3D printed and has a rubberized texture on it, for what it’s worth. In the mean time, this is a solid upgrade!

Hi, JSAUX is one that I posted on my site as being compatible and even used in pictures for my XL mat.

Here they are side by side.

Now it's true the included stickers doesn't quite cover JSAUX charger completely. If someone wanted bigger stickers I could send them them in the mail. Perhaps I could add an option to my site to request them when ordering.

That being said, I just tried the existing stickers and they seem to fit and look pretty good...

Yea that looks great! Definitely prefer the look of the JSAUX. If you could make a sticker match for that too it would be awesome. just another question, any reason the sticker can’t just cover the whole pad with the metal ring too? I think it would still be clear where to place the phone due to the margins of the sticker but might look cleaner?

No, I don't think there is any reason the sticker couldn't cover the while thing. Leaving the ring just sort of gives you target for your phone, IMO. I'll do some experimentations.

Definitely like this. Wondering how strong is that vinyl? do you think the magnetic force on off on off would cause notable wear where the pucks are hiding underneath.

Good question.... I have no idea! Customer said they'd just exacto them out if it didn't work out.

This is my favorite looking kit so far.

I use this area frequently for sitting a coffee cup in the morning and I’d love to see a pic like that to guess if my cup might still balance there.
