Did not realize that used R1T prices have dropped. So much Saw this used R1T at a Ford dealership (Corwin Ford) in Reno. It has cargo cross bars and you can get your very own Rivian R1T the same day. I waited 3 and half years for mine. How quick things change.

I won’t lie that the thought of putting an easy $20k in my pocket hasn’t crossed my mind.

Perhaps they were like me, reserved a couple electric vehicles and really needed some time with them to decide which was right for their use cases and which gave the emotional *UNFFFFF*.

I decided to flip my Lighting for $30k profit after 5 seconds in the thing. I have zero qualms about it; the dealer already got $5k extra from me and would easily have sold for the same price I did if I declined. #Murica

I wholeheartedly agree, but I guess that's the way the would is.

Market value of a new R1T on the 2nd hand market seems to be at the 85k spot. At that price they are selling fairly quickly. I'm guessing they will stay at that value for some time given where new prices are for post march 1st preorders.

I don't think most people originally reserved one with the intention to flip. But once they saw others getting $25k or more than what they paid for them, its a financial decision. Also, I've read about some earlier adopters needing 3-4 (or more) service visits to fix things, so they decide just to flip instead because they don't need the headache of visiting a service center that many times.

I agree that $85k seems to be the sweet spot right now.

Prices will continue to drop as production increases and more trucks are on the road.

Assuming you have multiple residences? I'm in CO as well and paid like $8K in taxes/registration fees. I think taxes alone were over $6K.
