How reflective is the unpainted stainless steel exterior going to be? Is it brushed enough to not be blindingly reflective? It's hard to tell from the photos and videos that are available so far, but I'm at least a little concerned that these things will be blinding in direct sun and could cause accidents because of it.

Don't worry, I'm sure there will be people that decide to polish their's to a mirror finish regardless of what Tesla does to it.

There is just so much about the design of this truck that's just incredibly dumb. Sight lines have to be absolutely awful. The rear glass is like a sliver and is blocked completely if the tonneau is closed. The relatively high beltline is going to result in massive blindspots. The only sightline that won't suck for the driver is forward. They will be an absolute nightmare to park, and if you pair that with the fact that this will likely be the first truck for many owners, it's going to be ridiculous in parking lots and at chargers.

Cameras are apparently improved and the screen is bigger. I'll predict that it will be easier to park than a similar sized F150.

But both vehicles are oversized for urban areas

Are there exterior door handles? Not great when you are trapped inside an armored stainless cage with a giant battery underneath.

I dunno...I think I'd totally rock an Aztec now. Just because it so weird.

My best friend has an alignment shop in Hollywood and he was just working on this bad boy. I'd totally drive this thing around. This, a CT and an Aztec in one's driveway and it's likely any potential home burglar would have some serious second thoughts.

Yes, I think its a more integrated design than the Lamborghini Countach from the 1970s. But I'm not a Lamborghini fan.

It's a very smart vehicle for Tesla to build. They would sell out of whatever pickup they chose to build. They may as well make a controversial vehicle that they love.

The exsisting Tesla models are eggs on wheels, except for the model S. People got used to those odd cars.

I remember Steve Balmer making fun of the first iPhone. And even people predicting the iPad failure. Many people react negatively when they see something that doesn't fit their idea of normal. Then the evolve their taste.

I have two friens who made fun of the model 3 for a couple of years and now own one. The model 3 is ugly from some angles to many people. It's an egg with a snout. But owners get used to the look if they otherwise love the vehicle.

That’s not being blinded. It’s being blessed by the hand of Elon to be so lucky as to share a planet with these perfect trucks.

For me it is not how it looks but it’s extreme size. There are going to be people getting it that will be disappointed by how big it is and have no place to park it. I bet there are many HOA’s that won’t allow vehicles sitting outside. But the garage is to small for it to fit.

Yeah, that was my comment above - I think there's a big percentage of buyers who want a Tesla, and think this is (PEW PEW) cool, because it's the newest thing, it will obviously attract attention, and it's some kind of LOLATOTHERMANUFACTURERS.

But they're putting ZERO thought into the logistics of owning something like this. They've never considered a "truck", or any large vehicle, or how a truck works for their common use cases, or thought about how and/or where to park this 19' long origami monstrosity.

To be honest, the pricing is going either be wow, or, it's going to floor people expecting X because that was the suggestion a couple of years ago when this thing was first discussed.

I've seen a ton of people sweating the cost of something like a Model S (even the non-Plaid version), but somehow think because this is PEW PEW, it's going to make the $xx price tag OK.

The people getting one sight unseen are the eraly adopters. Presuambly that group is more attuned to specific characteristics.

But it is somewhat confusing why Tesla didn't downsize CT a bit. I am sure that most of the buyers will not be trading a full size pickup. I expect many buyers have never owned a pickup. CT will pull buyers from many segments and create is own unusual niche.

Four door pickups aren't work vehicles anyways. They are flexible vehicles that can haul stuff when needed and then later have the kids in the back. I've know dozens of tradespeople and I doubt any of them will be interested in CT as their work truck.
