R1S Launch Edition
I don't think Rivian has to worry about any R1S reservation holders asking for their $1000 deposit back.

At least to start, less than 260 mile range from 66.5 kWh battery pack and less than 300 horsepower.

Agree, this is definitely a mid size option vs a full size R1S. Perhaps competition for the R2S? I’ve seen the regular B class up close and it’s surprising how they’ve squeezed in a third row. I can see it selling well with the Subaru and highlander crowd as a more premium option.

Motortrend's take on the EQB: https://www.motortrend.com/reviews/mercedes-benz-eqb350-4matic-first-drive-review

If you're primarily interested in an electric SUV, the EQB looks like a decent option. It doesn't match the R1S performance specs, but could/should cost a bit less and might meet many non-performance related needs of R1S pre-order holders. Great to see more trad automakers joining the party. Before dismissing it, take a read of Motortrend's review.
