Thanks SoCalTravels. I appreciate your input.

Like a few others I had also overlooked the "Shift To Neutral" button right above the Car Wash Mode button. If I had put my foot on the brake and pressed this button, all would have been fine. Instead I was trying to go to neutral separate from car wash mode. I thought it should work that way but apparently not. Making the "shift to neutral" button flash or something to draw better attention to it would help to.

On another note, I do wish Rivian would change the color of the buttons so that Green means "activated" instead of using black and grey.
so… I’ve tested the shift to neutral above the car wash button several times at home and it works. But twice now when I get to the car wash and push that button it still shifts to neutral with break hold! And I still have to manually hard press the break. So while yes it should work, in my experience it’s good to know how to take it off when it doesn’t work.

I have to be honest - this is one of the only things I’m actually worried about doing correctly once I get my truck. The car wash I use has this short turn right before you go into the wash and onto the conveyor and I already see visions of myself fumbling with car wash mode in that short amount of time and screwing it all up :CWL:

Mine will be silver so I’m not as worried about swirls, but the hood thing is not good?? Is that from the dryer?

Ya the dryer. It’s a known issue and they have a fix for it. I suspected it from freeway drives but was never positive— the dryer really showed me how bad it was!!
