I think either Wh/mi or mi/kWh. Miles per kWh is probably most similar concept of ICE miles per gallon, IMO.
I just noticed your signature at the end of your posts. It's perfect! haha

Anyone see the Sandy Munro video on the Frunk in the VW iD4? You can store a maybe a dog leash. And the Frunk in the Ford MachE isn't a lot better. The Rivian is the Grand Canyon of the bunch.
The Volvo XC40 Recharge frunk looks large enough for a dog leash and the collar. Oddly, it has a ridge in the middle that might require both items to be stored separately. I've seen nothing available yet that compares to the Rivian frunk.

...and it's not just because y'all use silly units like "miles" and "gallons" :p
Great video, thanks for sharing! Proof that our system & norms have distorted my perception.

It is interesting but more based on Fleet values or meeting CAFE standards.

For most people these numbers are just a method to compare individual vehicles when making a purchasing decision. As long as they are using the same method between the 2 vehicles, not really sure that it really makes a difference which one they would use.

But then again, that is just one silly American's opinion...

...and gal/(100 mi) is equally "dumb" as a range metric. That doesn't mean that both metrics don't have their place, you just shouldn't use a hammer when a paint brush is required.

Doesn't bother me none, but I know alignment tickles a few folks here. Must be the same pre-production truck from Austin ?
At least from this angle the alignment doesn't look taht bad, to mee. The sun explains the bright spot at the lower left corner, and the gap appears even around the entire panel.

As an owner of a Tesla Model X, this is adorable to me. The alignment all over the Model X was always bad. Even when they fixed it, it would misalign within a few days. I hope Rivian can get this working properly by the time customer production starts.

Bothers the hell outta me....but its pre-production...the back to front view of this charging door shows it isn't flush with the fender, so I'm thinking it either got bent or something during this whole road trip they seem to be on. There's a better image from the first Austin pics.

I've always questioned their placement of the charging port. It seems that location would be highly subject to damage from minor fender benders that would otherwise be superficial. Placing the charging port between the wheel well and front door seems like a more robust solution.
