R1S Shop access live with lots of inventory!

The thing is, i told them I was flexible a long time ago and recently. Also live 25 minds from the 2 bay area service centers and 2 hours from sacramento service center....*le sigh*

Same story here. I also live ~15 miles from the El Segundo / LA Service Center, and told CS twice that I am flexible with my configuration. I was even at the Venice Hub last weekend, and told a guide the same thing. It feels like we are getting punished for pre-ordering earlier and taking our First Miles earlier.

Probably wouldn't matter anyway. I got access 2 days ago and probably live in the same area as you inbetween El Segundo and Costa Mesa locations. No R1S's available in the shop and if they do drop one, I'm guessing it would be gone in minutes. I would personally have to call my wife and make sure she is okay with the color and options available, then she would call me back about 30 minutes after it was already gone!!.. It is her car (I was the last one to get a new car), so she kinda has to be on board.... I guess..

I got access last night. 3 R1S's late last night (LA Silver, El Cap, Launch Green), one left this morning. If the Launch Green didn't have the underbody shield (not needed for my intended use), I would probably grab it.

That is what I see too. Our area (presume Brooklyn SC) had about 15 R1S last week....now squat. I think I posted before that if that tail light recall is true, then maybe they had to pull a bunch to fix that, and they will reappear once fixed.
Since we are in the same shop, if you see an LAS with OC and 21" tires, DON"T take it. That one is mine.

Hah! Don't worry, the wife wasn't interested in the LAS. I need the full blessing of the boss to make this purchase happen so whatever color she wants, she is getting.

Gotta go through the configurator and note EVERY acceptable combination to the wife. It’s the only way.

She only wants limestone or granite with blk interior. Probably can do without the under shield and wheels do not matter, although we did order the 21s. Neighbor has an extra set dark 20 AT wheels, so I can always wheel and deal for those.

Since I now have a guide with shop access, does that push my delivery date closer if I end up not finding anything in the shop? I had a first half of 2024 delivery date, but it now says processing.

I’ve changed it 1000 times, but I’m a Feb ‘21 reservation that started as an Explore trim (RIP), now set to Adventure trim Forest Green with Black Mountain interior on 21s. Saw the exact one at the South SF service center 2 weeks ago for my test drive. Mentioned to them that I was open being added to the R1 shop and they said they would add me to the list.

They didn't call it shop access... they had another name like "manager's request" or something, where they could add me to a list because I expressed interest in getting a unit sooner. They said it involved them filling out a request form and sending it in to the team that runs the R1 shop.

Whichever R1S shop covers Houston has been empty for about 3 days now. 2 total vehicles have been in it over the last week. Hoping for a big dump!
