It's not easy. Ford shut down F150 lightning and Mach-E for several weeks. Rivian did a great job simultaneously ramping up 3 different models.

It's not easy. Ford shut down F150 lightning and Mach-E for several weeks. Rivian did a great job simultaneously ramping up 3 different models.
I'm not sure I've ever seen a vehicle more aggressively marketed relative to the actual output than the Hummer EV. I'm pretty sure I've seen LeBron driving around with a crab in his passenger seat more times than there are Hummer EVs on the road.

Rivian has to keep improving but they are headed in the right direction. They are walking a fine line trying to cut costs and keep everyone happy.

Not an easy thing to do, especially when you have people having meltdowns because their audio system now has 18 speakers made by Meridian instead of 20 speakers made by Meridian.

Rivian has to keep improving but they are headed in the right direction. They are walking a fine line trying to cut costs and keep everyone happy.

Not an easy thing to do, especially when you have people having meltdowns because their audio system now has 18 speakers made by Meridian instead of 20 speakers made by Meridian.

Don’t forget about the claimed “massive data leak” yesterday ?

I've been looking at the Hummer EV as a halo vehicle that's main purpose is to generate excitement and sales for the upcoming GM EV trucks.

A measly two Hummer EV pickups were sold in GM 1st quarter is really really something hard to believe. So pathetic.

Rivian is losing at least as much as they are selling the R1's for at this point because of low volume production and costs. That is a tightrope.....and Q1 they delivered less than Q4 of last year.

They are too evolved not to make it, they just might not survive on their own......Gigafactories are producing cars in large volumes within a year of groundbreaking....that is a huge help.

I cannot see Georgia producing 2000 day until 2026, which will be too late with Rivian in the drivers seat. I expect a merger or an acquisition late 2025 or early 2026....

Less vehicles Q1/23 compared Q4/22 but more of the R1 vehicles. The lower number was because of the EDV line shutdown prepping for the Enduro motors and LFP packs. I think this is all good news for the start of the year.

The caveat here is RJ implied they delivered more R1s this quarter, and fewer EDV because they intentionally slowed the line for upgrades.

I saw apparently 1 of the 2 hummer Evs at my sons baseball game last week- it’s actually cool and also huge.
