R1S Shop access live with lots of inventory!

it's good to see those go finally. there were 2 black ones that didn't stay long just like the blue one. even that freaking LG went.
unlike last week, they seem to be updating the Brooklyn shop several times in a day. I have been checking in 5-10 times a day and usually stuff just left and there was one update....not the case since the IT outage a few days ago.

I know a few people with jan-feb'22 preorders one July'22

I reached out to Rivian today to ask if I could get access to the R1S shop. Similar to one of the other comments earlier the response I received was they are only allowing ‘18 to ‘20 reservations on. Clearly that isn’t accurate but my impression is you need to have a guide to get on it if you made your reservation in ‘21 which I don’t have yet.

I will have to do some jedi mind tricks to try to stay patient for my July to Sept ‘23 window.

I do wish they modified the shop so if you grabbed a vehicle and before it gets shipped or prepared for sale you saw another vehicle that better matched your spec, you could swap it. Right now, as soon as you grab a vehicle you immediately lose shop access and have to reach out to your guide to unmatch if you have second thoughts. You take the gamble that there won’t be any other better inventory if you do decide to unmatch.

Ah!! I would've clicked confirm within nanoseconds if I saw that in my shop...dang! Well, if there was one in other shops I'd assume its just a matter of time before they rotate the inventory to my shop! ?

Just grabbed the exact spec I wanted + free 22" brights upgrade (my pre-order wasn't LE)...super pumped up!!! Glad I did not get tempted to all those eye candy updates to the shop past few days, patience is the game!
Now on to hunting for financing options...

I was excited for you until I saw you placed your preorder in ‘22. Not your fault, of course, but more than a little discouraging for all of us who have been repeatedly told by Rivian CS that only ‘19 and ‘20 preorder holders are getting access to the shop.

Also, “patience is the game” is more than a little tone deaf.

OMG it's there....and as predicted, it has the 22 not the 21 so I am really torn.

I care about mileage and I hear the 22's are a louder rougher ride, but woudl I even notice?

Seems like they had an OC batch come off the line. The majority of the vehicles is OC.

Ok, my original config was LG with OC and 22" brights. I got impatient and grabbed an El Cap with OC interior and 22" brights earlier today . Oh well, I've always liked the El Cap too. Sounds like the shop is livening back up again tonight so that's great news.

Looks like your original build is out there. LG with OC and 22”. Sorry. El Cap is a great color too.

and have not seen many 21" of any configuration...i wonder if that is related to batching, very few 21 orphans, or a shortage on 21's
im still dying over taking the 22" LAS...I have not done a First Mile event so get an idea of how they handle...do have a forum member down the road that invited me down to take a tour of his R1S today, and he has the 22's...that could change everything

Couple 21's in there now, and a couple of Adventure models. Real diverse selection, unfortunately none of the configurations for me.

RB with OC and 20" in there now. Certainly won't last long...real sharp looking actually...gone in less than 5 min
