You may have to but it sucks that you need to push at all. With a 2019 preorder date, you should have been given access well before me.
Ditto. 11/2020 pre-order holder here. Stupid that you don’t have access!

Confirmed mine is a 2023, vin#78xx

Also, I’m really glad they immediately take away access to the Shop. I would 100% be checking the shop constantly and second guessing my decision.

Perfect lead in ...
As a sort of social experiment, I've decided that all my communications with my guide will be based strictly on (1) the information available on Rivian's website, and (2) emails and other communications that I have received directly from Rivian. I pretend that I don't see (or even know about) any of the online forums (this one, RS, Reddit, Facebook, etc.). I do read The Wall Street Journal, but otherwise I pretend that I don't look at YouTube or any of the online EV sites.

So, what do I (pretend to) know about the R1 Shop when communicating with my guide? Tony talked about it in a couple of mass emails ... he said Rivian will send out invitations. Last I checked, there was absolutely nothing about the R1 Shop on Rivian's website. I've never seen the R1 Shop or screenshots of the Shop. I have no idea what's actually in the Shop. I have no idea who's been invited. I am not aware that I should proactively contact my guide to explain my flexibility (Tony never talked about that). I did ask my guide in February when I might expect to be invited ... and was told that only LE customers were eligible at that time, and that Rivian "hopes" to open the R1 Shop to other customers in the future. And, by the way, my guide's response did not ask whether I was flexible about options. So I (pretend to) assume that information about flexibility does not affect invitations.

So here I am, in my little ongoing social experiment, waiting and hoping for Rivian to invite me into something called the R1 Shop. That's all for now.

I thought Rivian stopped installing compact spare tires long before they started producing Adventure Package R1S's. I'm confused...
It appears that all of the post-March orders are required to select the "Off Road Package" if you want off road tires and that package includes the underbody and compact spare. It's as though they are building in bulk only for post-March off road orders.

Finally arrived! Got the 8 steps 3/20/2023 and picked up the R1S today at 130pm. 19 days total from Normal, IL to SSF sc including prep time. Long time waiting but very happy with the end result. Wife says she loves her car.

Wow that is sharp. I have always thought that the bright 22's don't look good on anything, but the Yellow and the 22 Brights are soulmates - that looks awesome!

even though I should be getting mine, Im still going to lurk here to see what shows up, so please keep posting what is available.
That's what I've been doing and don't recommend it - remorse for all the other stuff that showed up after I pulled the trigger!
