how long does it usually take to get shop access..? I was told its has been approved and in process.. takes 48hrs n it been over 48hrs.. still nothing.. Thanks!

My request took almost a week, I think it was ~6 days. Within this time, I also contacted support twice for them to check on the status. Both times they could not give me status, only that they would check on it for me.

That’s funny - normally when you’re matched you lose access to the shop immediately. If you’ve been matched, you should see it in your account and the 8 steps.

I don't see anything about 8 steps in my account. But my config changed to "confirmed" and the details changed to match the Shop vehicle (Launch vs Adventure).

My guide did say that it would take a while for the website to update, so I may just be seeing a lag.

Haha - I can relate! I’m waiting for the day that you can dynamically change the exterior color of your car. Will make the choosing part easier!

OK, I'm confused. When did you reserve? And was your configuration for a Launch Edition or Adventure Package? No bad blood here ... just trying to understand your situation.

I had a mid 2021 Reservation for an Adventure. My previous ETA was July.

If delivery takes another 6-8 weeks like it says it will on the shop website, I'm not really getting it all that early. But I am getting a free launch edition sticker on the dash.

Once you get access to the shop you can select anything in the shop regardless of your initial config. The shop contains a mix of Launch and Adventure cars but most are Adventure.

That's definitely a fall-back option for me. I just think it's really silly that Rivian has decided to do a bundle that frequently puts the MSRP barely over the cap for the tax credit, potentially costing a bunch of customers $3750.

I have my signed agreement pre-IRA enactment, so I should be good for $7500 and fine to pick any configuration, but I'm leaning toward caution and just waiting for one that works and is under $80k so even if the IRS decides the contract isn't enough, I can claim the lower 2023 credit.

And while I'm posting again: I enjoy the discussion and updates from the R1S Shop either way. It's fun seeing people get a vehicle and being excited about it.
