Not sure if any configuration would land right at $80K but good to know.
Forest Edge interior, 21" wheels, and either Rivian Blue or Compass Yellow would be exactly $80k, but that might be the only possibility, and neither of those colors are going to be paired with Forest Edge very often.

No, nothing new since the screenshot I posted yesterday.
Thanks for responding. Being a Sunday, not sure if any new arrivals would be seen. It may be hard for me to find RB within the $80K tax limit, or the LG, but looking forward to being in the shop. Ideally, I would love OC, but my husband likes the MB because we intend to camp with it and we have 2 large black dogs. He is worried about the OC staying clean or having blue jean transfer issues. I guess if I see any of the exterior colors we'd like I'll take either interior color.

On Friday they had both Launch Green and Rivian Blue in Ocean Coast for less than $80k. They are gone now though.

Update big LE drop

Rivian doesn’t pair RC, RB, CY with FE at all anymore

That is a lottery win in my book. Particularily the 12v under the dash.
With that removed, what options are there for plugging in devices that need that type of port?
I purchased a 12V extension cable from Menard's for $8. They have at Home Depot too. Plugged it into the 12V in the gear tunnel and ran it through the access door between the rear seats. This was for my rear view camera on my camper. Not ideal especially since the cable dangles over the center display and is in the way if there are passengers in back. I'm looking to see if I can find a couple of suction cup cable holders to put under the canopy and run the cable up from the back to the front that way so the cable no longer is in the middle of the display.

Don't you have power for that on your 7pin? There is power to set it up that way if it wasn't done that way.

We're searching too. I see that you are searching for something under $80K. Are you a pre-2022 order? Did you sign a BPA last August? I can't find anything on the IRS website (under 2022 tax EV credits) that says that you need to buy under $80K to meet the 2022 EV tax credit. Has anyone here gone through this yet?

If anyone in SoCal is holding off on pulling the trigger because they’re waiting on 22 brights, I’d happily swap for ATs or AT darks. I have less than 1k miles on mine!

Yes, I am a pre March 22 order, no, I missed the BPA cut off in August, which I really kicked myself for failing to do so (Missed the date by accident). No, if your BPA will actually work in your state, there shouldn't be any restrictions regarding price point. I would check with your CPA to verify about the BPA as I understand state laws could make a difference on that too.

The "transition rule" does not have any income or MSRP limits for eligibility. I assume everyone looking to stay under $80k falls into 2 categories:

1) have a BPA but want to hedge our bets and be eligible for either the $7500 in 2022 or the $3750 in 2023, in case the IRS says the BPA isn't really good enough for pre-IRA rules -- this is me

2) people who don't have a BPA because they didn't pay attention to all of that or were away from internet when it played out, and therefore have pre-increase pricing but no eligibility for pre-IRA tax credit rules

I’m in that camp for my R1S. Taking delivery tomorrow at $75.5k (LE, GW, OC, 20” AT). 2021 order with BPA signed before August 2022 deadline. Extended 2022 return to claim on initial filing (filing next week). If that for some reason gets challenged and ultimately denied (shouldn’t in my state) on 2022 return, I’ll still be safely within statute of limitations to amend 2023 and claim the half credit. Full credit at best, risk mitigation & half credit at worst.
