I don't have exact dates on this stuff, but I can provide some estimates based on how my guide updated me when I asked about stuff. I tried to BOLD the most important date info....you will have to be Sherlock Holmes and deduce how things move, as I dont think all the info is there.Do you know the dates yours shipped and arrived at service center?
Same for me, east coast shop went from 30 down to 3 options. Possibly matches during the updated delivery window processing…Oddly the shop is cleared out except 3 vehicles maybe means they matched builds to orders or they moved it to the other shop I guess ?‍![]()
The title of this thread has the word access. But Tony and CS always use the word invitation. In my dictionary, access and invitation have different meanings. Which word better describes the way the R1 Shop really works today? As we've mentioned before, R1 Shop invitations go out to some of our earliest preorder holders first. And at this time, that includes 2018-2020 preorder holders. Once there's an opportunity for you to be invited, we will be sure to do so.
I reached out to my guide after I heard stories of people with similarly dated reservations getting in. So I think access granted is more accurate. To me an invitation would have proactively come from Rivian. The title of this thread has the word access. But Tony and CS always use the word invitation. By the way, I just got access to my old college roommate's second wedding. (*sarcasm*)
check this thread. i believe there are a few others if you searchI believe some members on this forum have switched the 20" AT tires for all season tires on the same 20" wheels and experienced range improvements and greater ride comfort. Sorry, don't have the exact post in front of me, but I know I read it on this forum.

One thing that I suspect moved mine quickly is that it was already built and apparently went through QC and passed at Normal by the time I selected it. My VIN is 71XX.
From my guide's email on 4/12 (day after I chose my R1S in the Shop):
I am showing it's factory gated, meaning it's ready to ship to Brooklyn, NY, but it has not been prepared for transit just yet. It has an estimated time of arrival of 5/2/23 but can arrive sooner or later.
Once it arrives, it will go through its pre-delivery inspection. Once completed and passes its inspection, you will receive an automated email sharing that you now have access to self-schedule your delivery. You'll access this step by logging back into your eight steps in the delivery tab.
From her email on 4/20:
Your Rivian is in transit to its distribution center. (Same stuff as previous email goes here)
Once you have a set delivery date, you can provide that date to your insurance carrier. Which, you will then upload your new proof of insurance with the Rivian on it (year, make, model, and VIN). Lastly, payment. I recommend submitting payment at least 48 hours in advance of your scheduled delivery date to allow our teams enough time to prepare documents.
Unfortunately, since your vehicle is in transit, we cannot offer a home delivery. The destination fee is not a delivery fee, and those who pick up at the factory are not exempt from it.
From her 4/21 email:
Its estimated arrival date is 4/25. It is just an estimated date and can arrive before or after said date. Once it arrives it will go through its pre-delivery inspection. Depending on how many vehicles arrive or are pending inspections, they may or may not go through their inspection right away.
The story ends with me receiving an email around 5 PM on 4/25 stating my R1S is ready for delivery, but by delivery they mean pick up at SC located in congested crap hole (not really, but my frustration that my First Mile will be with my vehicle in 5th most traffic congested area in the world...and I have zero experience with one pedal driving)
My vehicle was "undeliverable" and I have to pick out a new one. My guide sent me the list of options since I didn't get shop access back (they're working on it). There was about 25+ options yesterday and this morning when I call to make a selection it was only 3. He seems to think they were taken out of the shop and are being held for service centers. Not sure what that means..?Same for me, east coast shop went from 30 down to 3 options. Possibly matches during the updated delivery window processing…
Most likely they ship them to places where orders match the build, then they contact customer and say they have a vehicle time to start the 8 steps. To my surprise, I got a txt from the Brooklyn SC asking me if they can deliver my R1S to my home on Monday!!I asked my guide when I locked in my vehicle and she said since I was over 3 hours away, I was eligible for home delivery. I think my future SC will be in the DC area, but I guess right now it is considered Brooklyn.
My guide said they asked for me to be matched to it!. THANK YOU SO MUCH @tgo10000
I had a call with my guide, and found out why I still have access to the shop. Someone else got "my" truck. They said that they can't directly assign a shop vehicle to someone. They can just submit a request, and by the time that the request was processed another customer with shop access had already claimed it. So I missed out.the suspense is killing me....and it won't even be mine!
Even though I got matched via the shop a few weeks ago, I check on this thread several times a day
