Would like to see fixes for the "dancing" air suspension and windshield wiper one-swipe issues that were reintroduced in the most recent update. Wonder if the wrong starting point was potentially used as the base for some of that code since the last update never advanced past the .0 internal beta...

Last note seems to address the lag in launch? Would any doctors confirm?
I don't think I've gotten 100% acceleration for months, the bar never gets 100% to the top, I haven't bothered calling Rivian to ask , but is this what they're referring to?

Mine has had the one wipe when on automatic since day 1 over a year ago. And if by "dancing" you mean adjusting at stoplights, it has also done that since day one.

Mine has done the wipe, so I just don't use auto wipers unless it's raining. I don't get the "dancing" suspension all the time, but it does happen once every couple days or so. It happens so rarely that I definitely notice it when it does.

There was an early period when the suspension would sometimes go up, then go down, then go up again, all while sitting still at a light. I don't think it's as bad as it used to be but there's definitely some regression in this last update here.

Mine definitely "danced" on occasion on the last SW version, but it's noticeably worse for me on the most recent OTA and happens probably ~65% or more of the time currently (vs. maybe ~10% of the time on the last version).

This is exactly the behavior I was referring to / complaining of in the current OTA. I'm only on my second software version since I've only had the R1S for a month so no idea how prevalent it was previously, but it's definitely noticeably worse for my on 2023.14.00 than it was on 2023.10.02.

I'd like ability to enter an offset on the outside air temp. Even better confirm multiple points and have it create a curve to my reality. Mine reads in 80's right now and it is low 70's...

Mine just levels out. It doesn't keep moving. VIN in the late 2000s. Maybe they changed a sensor or something.

I’d like to see the option to turn on the cameras when the speed is 7 mph or less so I see the lines and curbs.
I don't know about that. I have that on my 2018 GX460 and I had to turn it off. It gets super annoying when you're slowing for a red light or in stop and go traffic.

You can manually hit the camera icon. That's what I do when pulling up alongside a curb. After 7 months I still don't have a good perception of where my wheels are or maybe it's more the fear of scraping my wheels

I do this as well. Would really like an option to pin the camera icon to the bar.

Cheater method...I've gotten in the habit of quickly shifting to reverse and back to drive when entering a garage to get the cameras to activate.

I'd like them to fix the issues with .14 first as my truck won't charge properly since that update.

This, or my other suggestions to Rivian:
  • Add a fixed camera icon to the top menu bar
  • Activate the camera with a combination button press on the steering wheel (both middle buttons, both left, both right, both outside, etc.)
Having quick access to the camera is imperative.
