Cheater method...I've gotten in the habit of quickly shifting to reverse and back to drive when entering a garage to get the cameras to activate.
I let a friend drive my R1T yesterday, we pulled in to a parking spot and he wanted to check his positioning in regards to the painted lines.... I just told him- put it in reverse to activate the cameras. It's easier/faster than fishing through the menu screens to pop the cams on when you're in a hurry.

A fixed/pinned cam button sure would be nice!

  • Fixed a rare issue that caused DC charging to fail until you restarted the vehicle.
Interestingly, I just ran in to this last night. I thought it was the RAN charger, but another Rivian pulled into the stall I had been in and charged fine. Moving stalls fixed it for me - I assumed it was the stall that was broken, but "until you restart the vehicle" would have been an applicable situation, too.

I also think that a fixed camera button would be really handy. I don't like having to fish for the button.

How about an option to automatically activate cameras when parking? Low speed, sharp wheel turn, cameras automatically come on?

I think rear camera does activate when switch to R. and after that if switch to D, front camera will show.
there is just no auto feature for front camera on D.

Allowing user to choose which app to pin on the drawer will do. like tesla.

I know it doesn't do that now. I'm suggesting it as a future option.

Camp Courtesy now turns off automatically when the vehicle reaches the speed of 15.5 mph
I don't like this. I would prefer it it alerted me with a "one touch" button to turn off, buf sometimes I want to keep all the lighting off/low at night in a campground.

Yup, if the radar proximity warnings are beeping at me, it should just switch to cameras immediately. Most cars with 360 cameras do this.

Do you really need to drive faster than 15 mph in a dark campground with your lights off?

Generally no, but the one I visit most around here takes about 10 minutes to get from some spots to the entrance and it's mostly lit well enough. I want to crawl around with just marker lights without risk of headlights coming on and blinding people trying to enjoy their night.

Why can't you just set the lights to the parking light mode instead of Auto?

Sure, but Rivian*thoughtfully* puts them back to auto every time you exit the truck, at least for me.
