Crushing news. ?
Could be referring to the start of the test drive program, and some # of customer deliveries could happen before that...Crushing news. ?
I'm still very much excited. I sold my wife's Murano on Monday without letting her know and am making her Uber to the grocery store. I'm in it to win it. The longer that post remains on IG, the more I am a believer that Max just doesn't know what month it is...If he used his selfie camera more, he may see what month it is...but he must keep a mirror in his wallet and a comb in his back pocket...100% agree.
Even in the off chance it was true, getting bent out of shape over potentially a couple weeks is a bit ridiculous.
Come on Dudes! Don't let the excitement sour, this vehicle is still going to kick ass! Regardless of what others are doing or planning to do, Rivian is still a different flavor of vehicle geared toward outdoors.
Just remember back to this
And @jimcgov3 @skyote remember the excitement you had in this video, keep it alive for a few more weeks!
Personally, I'm not really bent out of shape that much. As you say, if it's just a couple weeks, it isn't that huge a deal. I think the bigger deal is if there is indeed a delay, they haven't communicated it yet. That would be offensive to those of us that have been along for the ride the past couple of years.Even in the off chance it was true, getting bent out of shape over potentially a couple weeks is a bit ridiculous.
To temper the hit of any potential delays they could at least kept some good photos and videos coming. I can't see how putting those together is tied to any production delay issues.Only time will tell! Now back to our regularly scheduled programing of posting cool photos (exterior only of course).
I’m not sure what the concern is as if they reach out in early June they can certainly ship Vehicles ten days later. As someone previously said you can go into any Dealership and buy a Car and have it ready the next day. Even if you’re Financing it you can have it within a week or less. We all knew there would be a ramp up of production and that June shipments would be relatively low (100-300). They probably only have to ship less than 10,000 LE Vehicles (my Est) between June and Dec 31st so that is not an overly ambitious goal. They would not wait until the end of May to announce another delay.Personally, I'm not really bent out of shape that much. As you say, if it's just a couple weeks, it isn't that huge a deal. And if I'm honest with myself, there's only 7 business days left in May and not a single person has reported being contacted by a Guide yet. I think that's as clear an indicator as any that the timing is probably skewed back by at least a few weeks. And yes, I know that if they just reach out to a single person on May 31st they've technically satisfied the requirement, I don't think that's in the spirit of what they've told us.

Jimmy,Crazier slips have happened though...not so much w/ Rivian but it could happen...

I really hope Max Koff fat-fingered that....or maybe he is young enough that he grew up w/ common core math...2+2=5 for some of those folks...js. In 2 months....just means I will be waiting longer...ugh

I'm sure he's never seen a camera he didn't like. And you know he's got some duckface peace sign selfies out there somewhere.Max just doesn't know what month it is...If he used his selfie camera more, he may see what month it is...but he must keep a mirror in his wallet and a comb in his back pocket...
95% success rate would be a little annoying but workable. Are you on MCU1 or 2? Ever since we upgraded to MCU2 we have had a 95% success rate....MCU1 was straight hot garbage!
Hey, Hey! Go easy on the Duckface!![]()

The concern is that they told us they would be reaching out in May in order to facilitate June deliveries. This is the timeline Rivian established, not something we made up. So clearly they thought it would take them that amount of time to move from first contact to delivery. I don't think it's unreasonable to use the timeline they gave us as the baseline. Comparing the process to buying a pre-built car already on a dealership lot already delivered in the city you live in with well established processes and creditors and everything else in place is asinine, IMO. Even Tesla, who has very well established logistics and delivery networks, can regularly take up to 3 weeks between completing the build and getting it to the customer.I’m not sure what the concern is as if they reach out in early June they can certainly ship Vehicles ten days later. So if you were contacted as late as June 15th and live in LA or Chicago you would still have your RIT before the end of June. It takes no more than 3-5 days to ship a Car to Ca. Also, while you said you would be concerned if Guides don’t reach out by next week there is nothing any of us can do other than getting upset. RIVIAN only loses credibility if they don’t delivery until July. The concern is that they told us they would be reaching out in May in order to facilitate June deliveries. So while I'm not concerned yet, I will be if Guides don't start reaching out before the end of next week. Still have my fingers crossed that we get some good news soon!
