I wasn't a fan of the silver...
Then I high-centered, and REALLY wasn't a fan of scratched up silver...

So....if you high centered with black, do you think it would look any better?

Yes, you completely missed the point. So you scratched it and covered it in black. But you could have easily covered it in silver. Either way, damage done and damage covered. Why is that so difficult to understand?

Easy to fix though.....whether using a wrap of some sort or something like Plasti-Dip. Maybe not exactly a permanent repair, but a repair non-the-less.

I’m a big fan of plastidip and have used it many times. When I get my truck I will black out the silver with plastidip and report back

I just ordered front/rear blackout vinyl from @brainexploder. If I can't get it installed properly, I might do plastidip or similar.

I’ve used both on other vehicles and recommend the vinyl. Even if you order a simple roll of 3M black from Amazon. The Platidip in that area will chip and leave the silver showing through like glitter. Lots of road debris, rocks, etc going to punish that front area. You’d likely have to respray every couple of months.

it will be a simple wrap if you remove the panels. And should last you a few years before needing to be redone.
