Who doesn’t like Free especially all the Mercedes Porsche VW Kia Hyundai. They get all that free charging. They’re the ones that clog up the Electrify America chargers.

I was at the Electrify America, DC, fast charger at the Topanga Westfield mall. One of the eight was not working. There were three Mercedes, one polestar, one VW getting free charging and there was one Ford transit electric that probably was paying along with my Rivian.

Tesla should really just sell an adapter to people. For example, maybe charge $250 for an adapter and use that adapter at any Tesla supercharger.

I have a feeling Tesla will expand it very slowly. Because of the way the SC are laid out, non Tesla charging could be problematic and result in unused stalls. This mainly due to charge port location on non Tesla EV.

I think 12-14 currently have magic dock across the US. The number hasn't changed in a few months to my knowledge.

I feel like they should focus more at locations where there is no other Level 3 chargers around.

If you go to https://www.tesla.com/findus and toggle on only view the Super Chargers open to Non Tesla you will see the 9 in NY and 2 in CA (and the hundreds in Europe).

The reason there’s so many in Europe is that Tesla is using the CCS type 2 charge port now because it was required I believe in Germany

Just drove back from Mammoth to LA. Just saw a new 12 stall Tesla SC going in next to Works right near the existing super charger like 100 feet away. It does not look like V4 or V3 with magic dock. Maybe they will convert the existing ones to magic dock???
