Because it’s complete nonsense. Anyone who knows a fair amount about EVs knows it’s nonsense. If you don’t know it’s nonsense, you can Google each of these points and quickly educate yourself to see it’s nonsense. I don’t need to spend half an hour writing an essay, while the Internet is replete with the information that rebuffs every one of these points, except #5, which I called out.
In other words you really have no argument or counter points and you expect your readers to make your points for you. That's not very good writing my guy. I've made some pretty long posts that took me less than 5 minutes and regardless if I don't have the time to support what I'm saying I keep it to myself.

I suggest doing that in the future instead of posting nonsense that just takes up space and doesn't really add anything of value to the conversation at hand. I assume most of us here know "a fair amount" about EVs and yet this discussion is 8 pages long. Clearly it's not as definitive as you're making it out to be. Next time either support your points or keep them to yourself.

It's obvious you didn't spend the time to read any of it, or do this yourself if you were as ignorant as you infer other people to be.

Yes we get it… and you got lucky with that girl no one else knows during summer camp. Your opinions are just true because you say they are :giggle:

I have the information to rebuff every single one of these points, and so do 80% of people reading this nonsense. This is such obvious bullshit that it doesn’t deserve more than what my comment already said.

To humor you, I will explicitly rebuff #1. NACS supports up to 1000V.

Please explain to me how the "internet"rebuffs every one of my points. That's just absurd.

Read the post. I acknowledge that. Elon Musk has stated he doesn't have plans to support that architecture. There is not a single Tesla Supercharger that is over 500v.

Edit: And, my point isn't that it is incapable - it is that I am unwilling to have Elon Musk influence whether or not I have the ability to use a vehicle that is 800v architecture simply because he doesn't see the need for it.

The issue here is taking the influence over whatever standard is decided out of the hands of a single entity.

There is a single Tesla charger on earth that provides 1000v charging and it is located in the Netherlands, which means it has a CCS plug :CWL:

Feds say this isn't the way. I have not researched fed register/laws...but no it ain't in stone going to tesla.

Money is in fed subsidized charging. Latest bill. Infrastructure and some shit.

Tesla is not free market and will not work. Easy folks will make nice, but that is not going to be the way.

Ford and GM are taking the easy way. They have no tesla competitor and sure as hell do not want to get into infrastructure of charging. Don't even start with some cyber tr{f}uck that may be built.

Anybody recollect them ford or gm paying for gas stations....oh ya...those folks to recollect are dead.

Disclaimer ... own 'position' in Ford and GM, Tesla and Rivian.... I am biased....also have cyber *uck reservation....

Wife has the Ford stock. it suck. Havv ehad it long time...Michigan back in the day...rather do edward jones annuity or other nefarious BS. Just say no! I get more out of GE than she ever got out of her Ford....
Somebody pay this man!

If you had come in here a day ago, you probably would have saved me a lot of responses....

You my man, can make your point, I have a M3 - best car ever owned .... but collapsing like Count Orlock's lawn chair [shout out - I dig your insight - but don't be digging my grave]

I do not hate the Musk. I just hate the Ford and GM. Although I am looking for some upside stock wise. Ford has many different shares, but it sucks. And so does the frightening as far as I know. A battery in and F150. This is simply parlaying first to market,

I know, I have Ford stock but if it was Costco or anything else....a real investment. Come on.
F150 with a battery. Where is the market.

Tesla taught us we want more. M3 5 yrs old in my garage is far superior to my loved R1T. Sorry...If Musk can do the cyberf*ck, Rivian be clutching their pearls...
Agree with most, except the last. Our former M3 and still have MYP are both very mediocre compared to my R1T.

To be clear, I don't hate EM, I just don't trust him with creating an open and fair charging experience for all.

Before he turned into a maniacal *hole I deeply admired his commitment to keep Tesla alive.

ICE OEMs were getting ready to dance on his grave when he was sleeping in the factory trying to get the Model 3 production ramp-up going to save the company.

Tesla ushered in the EV revolution and did so against a tide of resistance and virtually no help from ICE OEMs who actively opined for his and Tesla's demise. He proved to the world that not only could EVs be viable for the consumer, but they can be profitable for the business.

After everything I've read here, seeing RJ in a Twitter spaces with Elon announcing the switch to NACS will be even better :D
