I picked up pizza last night, and I always put it in the frunk because it’s a perfect fit. As I’m getting back into the truck, I hear someone in the outdoor bar area say to his friends “Hey, that guy’s f—ing crazy, he just put his pizza on the engine!”. I was smiling the whole way home.

I've had more than one person do a double take when I put my groceries in there from grocery shopping. It's a way better spot for them than the bed because they will get everywhere in the bed. It's always the joke with pickup truck owners that you have a big ass bed and you put your groceries in the cab of the truck on the floor because that's easier.

I don't have to do that in this truck because the frunk storage space is a perfect space for such things.

Gear tunnel works well too.

They were clearly not Seinfeld fans. Pizza on the engine made for a great episode back in the day.

This reminds me of a corny old joke from the VW Beetle days:

A woman bought a used Beetle, and one day it won't start at the shopping center. She opens the frunk and exclaims "OMG someone stole my engine!"

Another VW Beetle owner is nearby and hears her. He opens the back of his car and yells to her "Don't worry, you can use my spare engine!".

My shipping blankets, bungee cords, towels, and computer reside. I can't use my frunk for items of value, as it randomly opens now and then uncommanded (I think I have narrowed it to buffered commands from android app but not sure yet).

That’s weird/scary. I hope it gets worked out and you can trust it one day.

So far I am at about a month and it hasn't happened, and how I am testing my theory is by not using app to open it at all. Might give it another month and then try app again and see if it comes back.

I'm pretty sure my XL size pizza would not fit in the frunk. I have chunk people problems.....

That big beautiful frunk has ruined me. Every time I think about straying to another EV brand and I see their tiny little malnourished looking frunk it's just a complete turnoff.

I like big frunks and I cannot lie!

[sigh]

yup. This is my first EV and one of the best things about it is the storage space. I use the frunk pretty much daily.

I rented one off of Turo for a week since I'm still waiting for the production tonneau cover and headed to the beach (which is one of my many road trip use cases).

BMW had this crazy program that let i3 owners swap their cars for a BMW of their choice for 2 weeks a year to take road trips. Even in an X5, we were stuffed to the gills on our yearly family trips to the beach. Umbrellas, tents, bags, food, people, swimgear.

The Rivian swallowed up everything we could fire at it with absolute ease and the passenger compartment was stuff free which has never been the case before.

The R1T is an overpackers dream...

I picked up a bunch of coffee and donuts from dunkin for a recent event...

Couldn't help but chuckle and say, Runs on Dunkin, as I opened up the frunk for my friends to help carry the goods
