Manual tonneau cover installed on my R1T ?

I got mine yesterday afternoon. First clue was an email from UPS two days before delivery. Email said package from Rivian.

Can you tell us if the panels are some sort of plastic or are they aluminum or a combination of the two (metal top/plastic underside)?

Looks like it is all metal except for the plastic end pieces that slide into the guides on the sides of the bed. Since it is dark I needed gloves to handle the panels since they were sitting in the sun and got pretty hot. Score +1 for the automated tonneau cover.

I maybe need to run a hose on it to cool it down to touch it. (ha ha). It's sitting in the sun and it's not particularly hot today maybe low 70's.

But these will never get jammed leaving you with a partially covered bed.. so score +1 for the manual tonneau
