I had my shop do it, since they were already going to be doing the tires-- he said it was pretty straightforward, and they're extremely well built. (This guy does most of the land cruiser builds in Maine, so he's seen a lot of off-road parts)

Yep, I’ll get a lot more pics (and post them) once I put things to the test in a few weeks!

KO2s seem great so far. My Pirellis had gotten SO LOUD it was unbearable after ~17k miles, and these are much quieter. I haven’t gone off road with them yet, but I’ve always had good luck on the trail with KO2s, so I’m not worried.

Maybe a little less confident in corners, but I don’t tend to bomb curvy roads in my 7k+ lb pickup truck, I have cars for that ?
Thanks, OP. This is helpful information. Did you go with the stock size, or push them a little larger? They look to be a great fit.

Stock size, but they do feel a little bigger-- maybe my pirellis were just that worn out?

Cool. Thanks, OP. I really appreciate the insight. I am looking at the same tires. They appear to be a good match.

Haha, I need to update my profile, I'm down to 8!

Fun in corners:
BMW E93 335i w/tune and suspension upgrades
BMW E61 535i w/tune and suspension upgrades
On the waiting list for a Porsche 911 Targa GTS. Hoping to take delivery in Germany in '25

Fun in general:
Porsche Cayenne GTS w/ manual trans (957)
'83 Mercedes 300TD with rear-facing third row (kids love cruising around town in it!)
Saab 9-3 Convertible (perfect car for cruising around Maine in the summer)

Fun in mountains:
2005 Land Cruiser (built up)
2021 Land Cruiser Heritage Edition (stock except for tires, for now)

Fun everywhere:
Rivian R1T (this one!)
That's a nice collection. It may be sad but I got exited when I read the Saab 9-3 i just sold mine.

Rivian R1T R1S swhme's R1T Build Journal IMG_1278

made it home to Santa Fe! Stats from the drive:
  • 2322 miles
  • 1.52 mi/kWh
  • Average highway speed: 75mph
  • Best chargers: Ohio
  • Worst chargers: Oklahoma
  • Electrify America fails: 7 (where the first charger didn’t work right away)
  • Electrify America total fails: 0 (we were always able to charge at a minimum of 50kw at every stop we tried)
  • Rivian factories toured: 1
  • RivianForums members randomly met: 2 (hey @johnnylawson and @p3ck)
Peck’s rig is similar to mine, with the main difference being that he was running street tires, and he was getting >2mi/kWh, so I suspect that the KO2s I’m running are actually a bigger impediment to range than my racks. I’m planning to do a detailed analysis as soon as the replacement tonneau is ready, since I’ll have to take my racks off to get the tonneau replaced. @OutofSpecKyle have you done any range testing on tire options on your R1T?

@swhme - nice - and I take pride in the fact your best charging experience was in my state :p Funny thing is I bookmarked your build journal when you first posted this and researched some things off of it myself. It wasn't until I got home that I put two and two together and realized I just took the tour with you. I'm paying attention to your K02 reporting because I'm due soon here with 23k miles but prob got another 5-7 in them.
