Grabbed the same a few days ago. I had about 5 different Limestone+OC to choose from. Congrats!
Pics or it didn't happen. Did you get a launch edition? Not that it would make any difference with the pricing on the dark wheels.

Beautiful build. Don't let them drill into the bumper to install the license plate.
I am in TX and I read online that it is mandatory to have both number plates on. Isn't that the case for you in WA?

I had a difficult time deciding between a LE+20darks or an AE+22darks, But were just sitting there waiting for me to pick one. The price was identical and in this case the LE didn't get me anything except the wristband. There was also a 22" bright and in that case you go the wheels for free, so $3500 less, but we wanted black wheels and I didn't feel like dealing with powdercoating or swapping down the road. It's the wife's car and she really wanted the 22" wheels... so she won (and honestly all she really cared about the config is that it was Linestone/OC and black wheels.) There is a part of me that wished it was an LE and not an AE... and I really don't know why I feel that way 'cause I honestly like the "adventure always" tag on the dash vs "launch edition" (I don't need a reminder of what edition I have every time I get in the car.. the Adventure always is at list just a saying, not "Adventure edition". I guess an LE sort of says I supported the brand from the early days, but I think I can get over it. It is going to be awesome regardless of the badge.

Sure, yes.. it is mandatory in WA. But this place is so messed up these days that cops really aren't allowed to pull you over like that anymore... they decided that pulling people over for plate violations was inequitable. If you get stopped over for a major traffic violation, then they could also give you a hard time about the plate. And lastly... I am in the process of relocating to AZ after 25 years here... and thankfully in AZ they do the front end of cars justice and leave them the way auto designers intended. (almost pushed out my delivery to just take delivery in AZ... but I don't want to wait any longer)

How many launch editions did you see in the shop. Was it still around 20% of builds were LE?

I am going with the tow hook mount which will use the factory license plate bracket.

https://www.brainexplodermerch.com/product-page/rivian-tow-hook-license-plate
During the 18 hours I was shopping for a Limestone/OC (the only combo I was filtering for) I saw about 10 different R1S' pop up. Three (maybe four?) were LE's. In most cases the AEs were better equipped than the LEs (better wheel options + RUS). So the whole LE vs AE thing is weird. They are completely identical, but somehow LEs are seen as being in more demand. Yet.. you would think in the long run the perception (not true) would be that LE's were first off the line and more likely to have issues or older tech... but we know the LEs today are identical in every way to an AE... except they put a different badge on the dash and give you a wristband (although someone posted that they took deliver this week and there was no wristband).

The badge makes no difference. The wrist band is seriously overrated and will be available in the shop in the future. I would rather have apple watch support and I would actually go buy one just for that.

Since you main priority was getting the dark wheels, you made the right choice making sure your wife will be happy with the build from day 1.

Post up pics of your Limestone with Dark wheels Rivian Order Page. I am sure its a beautiful build and you have the real deal. Dark wheels straight from the factory. Don't waste time with aftermarket solutions.

You can snag an LE with bright or all terrain wheels when it's your own vehicle. Today you made the right choice for your lady by purchasing the Limestone / OC with dark wheel as originally requested.

The only time it makes sense to go with LE is if you get a recent build with 2023 floor pan enhancement in place and you select either 22" brights or 20" All terrains.

The demand for LE is high only because you get free wheels but what I have noticed is most end up paying more to snag an LE because of spec differences like you mentioned. You end up with an underbody shield when you really don't want it or pay for paint/PPF when you were ok with free option or no protection or end up with a color that is not your first choice.

I’ve had snap plates on my R1T for about a year. They came out with a new gen version and gave a trade in credit. I haven’t put on my R1S till I get permanent plates. Great product.

I was looking at snap plates and was worried about the plate being in the camera view. You can reduce visibility on camera but I don't think you can completely eliminate it.

ha ha.. Thanks... I was in a hotel room in Seoul hitting refresh on the Shop after a long day of meetings... wife was asleep and she was honestly exhausted by my endless "do you want this, or that, or that, or wait, how about this one". She said she was "okay with the rugged look" of the AT/20s.. but I think the additional road noise and the reduced handling compared to her SQ8 on 22's would eventually get old. So she got was she wanted and she is very happy. She thought she would have her Rivian weeks ago.. the first one we picked from the Shop never left quality control at the factory, sat in "containment" status for 2.5 weeks (still sitting there).. so we had to reset everything this week, get back in the shop and decide quickly. Our vehicle needs to be on a truck by the 21st... otherwise they switch back to rail and then you can basically add 5-7 weeks for delivery.

Here's the not super exciting (and terrible representation of limestone) of VIN# 13061 (fresh of the production line this week)

This is why I think resale of LEs in the future could take a bit of a hit(or just harder to sell). Perception will be that they don't have the safety enhancements and trying to tell a buyer that your LE was a late build with them gets complicated.

Honestly hasn’t been a big enough issue to bother me. Gen 2 is more adjustable and helps to minimize further but haven’t tried it yet, I’ll check it out. The tow hook mount looks well made but I have issues with the asymmetry.

A few years from now, 99% of buyers will have no idea that there was a safety change at all. Hell, I'll bet 99% of buyers right now have no idea at all.

I mentioned to guide and service center multiple times. Thankfully they didn’t.
