Considering how fast that Tesla is rolling these things out, I think we'll be fine. Seriously. You need to look. There are over 50 NEW sites just this month, with hundreds of plugs:

https://supercharge.info/changes

It wouldn't surprise me if that was more than the entire rest of the industry combined.
The few I looked into just seem to be gaining visibility into permits that were filed last year. Obviously the rate of that happening can vary significantly over time since it's all user submitted data.

100%.

You can also filter it with 'new' sites that came online or updates to older ones. I found it to be an really excellent resource since I owned my first Tesla, a 2012 Model S.

who needs RAN when you can have access to all the tesla supercharger? They might as well stop making RAN
Well, I don't know about your area, but the Supercharger stations in the NE corridor are always full, while the EVgo/Electrify America station are half full at the same time. It will be nice having that option, in the end we just need more charging stations everywhere.

Since the NEVI funding for CCS is already passed (thankfully), hopefully this results in more overall chargers for everyone. My guess is most of those NEVI chargers will now include both connectors.

If future Rivians are built with NACS ports does that mean they will use adapter to plug into RAN stations (CCS)? Or that Rivian will soon build out RANs with NACS and older vehicles will use same adapter for the SCs? What a head scratcher. I wonder what's triggering the avalanche towards NACS away from CCS?
I think the other manufacturers are starting to finally get serious about producing EVs, that range anxiety is the largest hurdle to new sales, at the same time realizing that duplicating the SC network with their own is impossible and don't want their customers' experience dependent upon the existing crappy 3rd party networks like EA.

Good on Rivian here and excellent for owners, but really, their hands were 100% tied if they wanted to remain competitive with Ford and GM. Tesla's hands are similarly tied, as they need to demonstrate relative impartiality to bring other automakers into the fold, receive fed money, and stave off government regulation as long as possible.

As a current Tesla owner, I expect the next 18 months to be an absolute $hit show at most heavy-use superchargers, as these large pack vehicles start tying up posts for extended periods and taking up two spots until longer cables are rolled out. That's on top of already rapid Tesla volume growth brought on by huge price cuts and the fed rebate. I bet holiday travel is going to be pretty precarious from 2024-2026, but I guess we had to rip the band-aid off eventually.

This gives us more confidence we will follow through with our preorder, though we will personally likely try to hold off taking delivery as long as possible to get that NACS port. I suspect that sentiment could be a problem for Rivian, though hard to say what having an old port will do to resale values.
