Yep, I agreed 100%. Seems ever since Ford announced the V2H, a lot of post are popping up asking Rivian to add this feature. I don’t doubt it is useful for some, depending on where you live but it’s not something I would likely ever use myself. Seems to me that if the V2H is that important to someone, they should buy the Ford instead.
It would be pretty epic if Rivian had a similar feature. At minimum there are outlets in the truck bed that could be used to power something via extension cords if needed

It serves to let Rivian know, since they most likely monitor these forums, that a significant proportion of their most ardent early adopters aren’t pleased with their level of communications. Just because you know you’re right, doesn’t mean you’re right @DucRider. Name calling doesn’t help your case.
Very few of the forum members are having a constant conniption that Rivian isn't holding their hand and reassuring them constantly that everything is on schedule.
Would I like more info? Of course.
Is Rivian not providing additional details on our desired schedule instead of what they said they were going to do a sign that things are going sidewise. A stretch to say the least.

What, exactly, do you need to know right now that can't wait for the Guides to reach out? None of the whiners seem to want to address that question.

A Rivian doesn't constitute a need, so information about one could not either.

It's clear that there is a lot of information we want; most of that should be finalized, so the question is "why won't Rivian share it?". The fact that we're so close to production & they haven't shared it is why the suspicion creeps in for some.

Your immature name calling says all that needs to be said. I’m out. ?

That's meaningless without an actual Rivian source. He could have just done a forum search, and called it "sources" Emme Hall the other day restated their June deliveries
No one said Doug had a "source." He just (very quickly) expresses his view that Rivian won't be delivering in 2021. Naturally, you're free to judge others' opinions as you wish, and you'll very likely know for sure in three days or so . . . if Rivian resumes communications.

I have never, in my life, ever, seen a company roll out a major new product and dump out their purse on the ground and tell you everything.

Video games don't even do this, why would you expect a car company to do it?

They will trickle feed the tidbits to keep the press releases flowing and media engaged. There is nothing worse then disappearing from a news feed for months or years on end for someone launching a marquee product.

Would we like more info and data? Duh.

Am I annoyed by the Rivian CS non-answer answer? Yeeeeeah.

Will we get more into and data? Yeah.

When? ...later... when they want to swat the F-150 out of the headlines (or drop the release info).

Until then, chill. A couple more weeks or even a few more months won't kill anybody (though, given some of the response I've read in this thread, some folks may need to look into blood pressure meds).

In the midst of the familial fighting, someone did make a good point they seems like an unfortunate miss by Rivian. It would have been nice to offer a launch edition trim with the max pack, even if it was delayed with the rest of the Max packs. Seems like that would have been a relatively easy way to make some first adopters happy.

Just the two cents of someone that isn't getting either option.

I'm sure your post was meant for the younger folks. When you have one foot in the grave and another on a banana peel, then you may think differently. I do take blood pressure meds, along with a variety of other medications. I can only suggest to Rivian, is if they would like to sell me a vehicle, it would be in their best interest to do so as quickly as possible. I have patiently waited for over 2 years, but it's wearing thin. Not for information, but rather the start of production. However, they go hand in hand. If I may ask, how long have you been waiting, since your pre-order? Truck, or SUV? It surprises me as to how many young people can afford such an expensive vehicle. Congratulations to you all!

BTW, I see you joined the forum today. Welcome.
